Looks like a class that could feel really powerful to play, however I can't help wondering how they're going to keep a class like that from being overpowered.

I don't know how the biotics system works in ME2, but in ME1 the adept was so overpowered because you had access to like 8 biotic abilities, so when you cast all your abilities there's already a biotic ability off CD. So if that carries over into ME2... sorry sentinel, adept for me!

Oh hell yeah.  I love "Jack of all trades" characters so this will probably be the class for me.  Don't recall which class I played before I just remember it was the one with Pistols and Shotguns only.  :)

@RVonE: Where did you hear said rumor? I am pretty sure there are games that have done class switching in the past (Quest for Glory series maybe?), I just don't want to get my hopes up

Rumor has it that you can change your class at the beginning of ME2 and still have your choices carried over.

The class changes in ME2 are so well done.  I actually want to try out all the classes this time, and I'm gonna be even more curious as to what they will do for ME3

PC.  The resolution is higher (higher detail textures/shadows etc) and the interface is better.  Plus they worked out the niggles with the inventory.  All of the DLC is available on PC as well.

I was waiting for them to give a few drawbacks to the class to show the balance between the different "classes", but it didn't come.

 I played both, and they both have their pros and cons.  Pro and Cons on 360,  bad frame rate, pop in and long load times, but better support and less bugs(no major game ending bugs at least).  A good PC would fix all the performance problems, but its buggy (I had some minor sound issues and in one of the vehicle mission the ground texture was completely missing making that level very hard to play).  I can't stand low frame rates,  that's why I returned the 360 version and played/beat it on PC.

The more I see of the hybrid classes the more I wonder why anybody would ever choose one of the pure classes.  Seriously this guy looks like he has the best tech powers and some great biotic powers and on top of that some unique powers.  I'm really hoping that they just didn't show everything for the pure classes and there are some unique powers that they have and are amazing too.

I have the special edition of this pre-ordered, and was playing through the original for the fifth time, to have a fresh character and so that I remember all the choices I made.
 
But I never got further than the Citadel. My Xbox RROD'd last night. Can't believe I might not have it back by end of January. And I won't be playing any 360 for holiday neither :(

@nanikore: PC. I'm actually playing ME for the first time. I got the game along time ago but never got past the first level. The game looks great on the 360 but the FPS arn't too good. If you have a good PC I would go for that. Either way it's a great game no matter what platform.

For the first game, I'd go with whatever is less expensive.  I think you get the DLC for free on the PC version, but I never bothered trying to find out how.  The game is probably more stable and better optimized for the 360 though.  Overall, it's the same game and if you prefer to use a mouse then get the PC version.  If you prefer a controller I think you can use it with either version.

"...the hybrid class..." I think there's at least two hybrid classes, if ME2 follows the same classes as ME1 the Vanguard would be the class to play (Soldier/Adept):
 
Sentinel (Adept/Engineer) 
Vanguard (Soldier/Adept) 
Infiltrator (Soldier/Engineer)
