More Music in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock

Wow, this has got to be the best GH setlist in a while. 
 
That said, I'm still not playing it.

Shouldn't Neversoft be trying to impress people with their setlist? These songs were all terrible.

2 things, those avatars continue to look broken as hell. And you cant call your game warriors of rock and put nickleback in it

Drowning Pool and Linkin Park are both on the setlist...sadly... 
 
Looking over the ENTIRE setlist, this game does exactly what Guitar Hero II did to make it a worthwhile game - appease every possible genre they can while making sure to pick FUN songs from each of those genres of rock. 
 
Personally, I was hoping for even the slightest glimpse as the note chart for "Holy Wars...", but I got John 5's "Black Widow of La Porte"...and Megadeth's "This Day We Fight!", which makes me thoroughly happy.  Cannot WAIT for this game so me and my buddies can get back to our high score battles!!! 
 
Also, to everyone bitching about Nickelback, shut the fuck up.  *ugh*  So childish, and most of you have probably only listened to the singles that get released.  Personally, I wish they would've put something like "Just For" or "Cowboy Hat" in the game, maybe "Money Bought" or "Side of a Bullet".  Nonetheless, I can deal with the song that got them famous worldwide.  Unfortunately, I also know that the kids at my workplace are going to play that song a MILLION times and it's going to drive me nuts in the same way that "Beat It", "Cherry Pie" and "Eye of the Tiger" drive me insane.
 

Guitar Hero sure does love its three-note chords.

they seem to be catering to a hardcore crowd, which im sure are not interested anymore. so all the tweens who get this will be sorely disappointed. at this stage, rockband 3 looks like a lot more fun than frustrating and annoying guitar hero 6 songs. plus being forced to play nickelback so early on is the nail on the coffin.

This latest trailer still doesn't make me want to get the game. I like a few songs on there, but I've already bought the Band of Skulls track on Rock Band (interestingly, less notes charted compared to Guitar Hero's version) and the others I don't mind going without, apart from The Dillinger Escape Plan. That one I kinda wish Rock Band has.

Man, the animations look effing TERRIBLE. It's almost like they've focused so much on the graphics on top of the character models but forgot to actually update the way they move. UGH

Sorry Guitar Hero. You might've been the first, but you have sucked hardcore since Guitar Hero 3. S'all about Rock Band, and even that I don't buy every entry (Green Day Rock Band? Are you fucking kidding me?)

Nothing says "rock" quite like... Nickelback? For Christ's sake can Guitar Hero cease to exist please? Man they destroyed that franchise in a hurry.

While it's nice to see Aerosmith back on a setlist, the fact that they chose Cryin' is already a bad sign. 
 
Meanwhile, of the actual songs they played, 4 looked interesting (Interpol, Tesla, Band of Skulls and Queensryche) and none of them truly compelling.

There were some pretty good songs there, prolly good to pass some time while drinking a few beers. But, unfortunately I'm not a big rhythm gamer (only have GH5 because I found a good deal off of ebay for it).

But seriously. Yeah, they sold out, and yeah, their music is crap now. But that was one of the good Nickelback songs from back in the day. Why all the hate?
 
Some of these songs looked good. Unfortunately, after dropping $100 for GH5 with the guitar, to get about 10-15 good songs, I think I'll hold off on buying another GH game and wait for the tracks I want to come out as DLC for Rock Band instead, if they haven't already.

amazing that they put so much emphasis on the design of the characters and locations, 'cause you will totally focus on that while playing...

They can't take this franchise, stick 'Warriors of Rock' on it and expect us to believe that this is a new, vastly improved experience. Least Rock Band 3 is trying.

I'll pick this up..when I can get used copy for less than 20 dollars. right now I'm more interested in RB3 

The setlist is pretty bad, especially when compared to Rock Band 3, I own most of the setlist songs on Rock Band 2 already. Not impressed. 
 
Surely this is the last ever Guitar Hero, hope so.

i may dislike what guitar has done in practice, but being a hardcore metal head, most of the entire track list is great.  Wish RB had same songs.  I'm just glad the genre they chose to rely on for this game is really good for me.  For most other people though, its pretty disappointing.  At least I'll enjoy myself
