I know about the GBA SP but I specifically remember people criticizing the DSPhat because you can barely see anything.

Would be funny if Sony made one for the Vita.

I really want next next generation of Nintendo handhelds to just be called "The Gameboy" and reboot the gameboy name. Even if it has nothing to do with what that name would imply.

I like how he craps all over the DSi when comparing it to the 3DS. I'd rather have a DSi honestly.

This just points out the general confusion that nintendo generates by putting out multiple things with the same name, was hoping that they'd include the wii & wiiu on this video to help give some answers to the differences on those two to the general public. Also baffling is the choice to go with the camcorder microphone down the hall for this video.

It's like they filmed this at some mall photo store, music added by guy with microsoft movie editor

So....downloading games is OK now? I thought downloading was piracy and piracy is illegal, that's what the intro on my DVDs tell me...does this apply to TV series and movies too? I need this guys to explain this issue to me.

Just to clarify, I'm not against the way GB makes videos, it too is fairly effective in what it sets out to do. I just find it hilarious that people are complaining about the quality of this ad, when it is clearly not meant for them and the ad does just an effective job as GB's I Love Mondays in what they respectively set out to do.

Budget is a terrible excuse for a bad looking or sounding video these days. The proper equipment is so cheap to rent and so easy to use, that I've produced better quality videos for under a couple hundred dollars, and anyone with an education in video can tell you the same thing. I mean seriously he's even being drowned out by the music, that's sound mixing 101.

Besides, the actual motion graphics look like professional quality so it's not like you can just chalk it up to "Oh they don't need this to be of a professional quality to get the idea across" or they wouldn't have put all that effort in making those motion graphics. All the problems in the video could have been fixed with an hour's worth of diligence on the part of whoever was filming it. You can't tell me a corporation that big can't afford to pay for that.

Yeah but the problem with the phone is you have to play mobile phone games. And also the problem with the Vita is you have to play Vita games. :o

Seriously though it may not have state of the art graphics but the technology behind the screen is basically the best out there. Therefore it's fair to say it is state of the art until there is some sort of substantial improvement. And in portable gaming there isn't. That's not misleading.

@MikkaQ: Hmm good points. I honestly have no idea how 'easy/hard' it is to edit video and audio, so I guess it's fair to expect better quality video. I guess to me the video is still acceptable since it does what it needs to do, maybe my standards are too low or I'm being too open-minded *shrugs*

I still don't get why they thought calling it a Wii U is a good idea, maybe the casual Japanese audience are smarter but the ones in the west are idiots and many will not grasp that the Wii U is a whole different machine.

Not related to the 3DS thing I know, but the Wii U is what needs this type of video the most.

The 3DS screen isn't in very good territory at all, it is vastly inferior to the Vita screen (and most 2011 smartphone screens) in terms of resolution, colour and black levels. (having owned both) I won't go into sales because as Nintendo have proved time and time again high spec hardware doesn't mean shit. (DS, Wii, 3DS)

As much as I love my 3DS XL, I almost felt like destroying it after watching this guy. I really feel after watching this video that Nintendo just should stop selling the DSi altogether. They clearly don't want you buying the damned thing. The message I got here is "Don't buy the DSi unless you're just too poor and stupid to get a 3DS".
