And I have no idea who any of the people on the New Releases section of my MOG.com interface are, either. There's a difference between having misplaced pride in being disconnected from the world around you and simply not being exposed to something, because you're not the target demographic. I'm also not familiar with any of the movies on the Top 10 movies of 2011, because I don't watch live television and I don't see commercials or advertising (which are primarily how you find out about current films).

However, I could tell you plenty about current games, literature, technology, business, and events. I somehow don't think I'll feel too bad for knowing about the latest shitty sit-coms or the latest infatuations of teenage girls.

This is insane. Okay, so the song is very clearly about a young romance that didn't go as far as the people involved hoped. It's set to a video of the sims, in which a young couple not only continue dating, but get married and buy a house. This creates a sort of irony, in which the yearning expressed in the song("In another life, I would make you stay..."), is played out in another world from which we live. I'm not gonna lie, I found that kind of moving. I'm a huge softy, but the idea of playing out something that never was to be in a video game is a sad concept. But then, the dude in the sims dies, making the scene that's playing out in the sim world also be the same as the song is describing, as the lady shows up in a pink wonderland that is the product of her grieving delusions, and then everything is okay.

I get completely hooked for one "lifetime" or whatever, or until I've maxed my career meter. I then cheat my wallet full of money, see how good my architecture skills are, and utterly reject the game after that.
