Maybe they're busy pixelating all the naughty bits. I know I might faint if I saw something uncensored.

Literally only saw like 15 minutes of dave doing his thing, was busy all day, so no oblivion/morrowind/skyrim for me(well no watching...I did play 6 hours and I'm -very- tired). I saw a couple naked characters streak by, were they anatomically correct or barbie and ken dolls? I don't want to start halfway through, guess I'll get to this later hopefully.

If they really are editing them, you have to remember Giant Bomb does have advertisers to worry about. I'd imagine there are some they can't use due to their blessedly freewheeling stance on language, actual depictions of nudity would probably cut out a much larger swath.

That said, what nudity is there in Morrowind? The closest I can remember is your character in their undies if you remove all the armor.

It's possible that parts 1 and 2 are still uploading/converting, wait a while before deciding for yourself whether they'll come up or not. Or, you know, be internet people.

@Wandering_Idiot: The nudity in it was from a better bodies mod they installed.

I was actually excited for skyrim until watching these videos. I think its funny that in order to make the game any good Dave gets mods to overhaul complete gameplay systems to make it a completely different game. I still have to watch the Skyrim stuff but I'm not as excited as I once was. I cant get enough dark souls, so I was thinking maybe skyrim would scratch that itch but now I'm not so sure its even a game worth playing. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm seeing a pattern here..

@DoctorWelch: try and take that with a grain of salt. They looked really good for the time. They say it was muddy for back then but they were considered good at the time. The leveling system was just dave's preference. I love the leveling system in the elder scrolls game. The more you use a weapon or ability the more powerful it gets. I think it works really well for the elder scrolls game. Its not the same as dark souls, but if you enjoy swords and wizards as well as enjoyed the gameplay of fallout3 then you'll more likely really enjoy skyrim. The movement may same a bit strange in the older ones, they fixed alot of it in skyrim. 3rd person view is actually not bad (especially compared to both) though its still meant to be first person.

It's distressing that Dave can't pick locks.

@DoctorWelch: Yeah, blackbird makes some good points. I just recently replayed most of it and intend to do a bunch more since I can't afford Skyrim for awhile. It still really holds up, even just playing the base game with whatever bug fix patches have been issued.

It may not have the difficulty that you've come to love from Dark Souls, but the roleplaying elements will suck you in in just the same way.

I say give it a shot.

Perhaps dumb question--any way to see a list of the mods used here? Or any votes for the favorite mods? I'm looking to enhance the UI, textures, etc. without really messing with the content of the game.

PS The opening theme has the exact same effect on me. Good lord, the memories, they come flowing back...
