Ok, ive watched this trailer a bunch of times now. Totally nerding out about it.

He shoots that bear monster thing with a small hand crossbow. I can't imagine that'd do much damage, perhaps they add in a poison attack with that since Geralt is this great alchemist guy (i mean alchemy is a major mechanic in all the games), so i'd imagine he'd be good at poisons right? I dunno! just a random thought i had that i figured i'd share!

Not hating on the actually trailer because it looks amazing, i just have such a big gripe about the Witchers armor deigns everyone is wearing badass plated stuff while they wear crappy leather/chainmail hope they improved on the loot this time around because the armors in 2 weren't all that different.

I'm currently trying to play through The Witcher 2. I really liked the first Witcher. It was somewhat niche and I didn't see it as a AAA game to be honest. As for the Witcher 2, I couldn't get into it. I expected too much after people were praising it so much. It's not really that great of a game so far (4 hours in). Especially the conversations are quite bad. It often feels stiff and it doesn't seem like people are actually having a conversation. I hope they change that in W3.

I think the gameplay is alright though. I still really dig the mechanic of having to drink potions before battles rather than during them and all that.

Still looking forward to this though. It looks great and CD Projekt seem like the type of guys that improve immensely between titles.

Witchers were always interpretended more agile fighters hence the leather/chainmail. Making twirls in a full plate would look absolutely rediculous.

I've only had one problem with The Witcher as a series: I just don't like the combat. In the first game, which I never finished, I thought the combat system was a product of the era and the root engine it was built upon (the same engine which powered Neverwinter Nights and Knights of the Old Republic). Then it mostly carried over to Red's own gorgeous, modern engine. It's the kind of thing that isn't alleviated by setting the game to easy so I won't have to engage in it. I just don't enjoy it. Gives me some real mixed feelings about a game I want to be excited about for more than sidelining how pretty it looks and a story I'll not get to experience.

Looks like they are taking it more in the direction of TW2 wich is sad becouse TW1 is by far the better one of them im however 100% sure it will be an awesome game. The only question still is if CDPR delivers on their promise on making PC the main platform and all the goodies that comes from that or if i can just aswell pick it up for PS4 and relax in my sofa.

Take notes, series that sold millions and millions of copies, and took home multiple game of the year awards, including the GOTY from this very website.

I loved Witcher 1 & 2, and will be all over this shit the minute it unlocks on Steam, but Skyrim was fucking awesome too.

Looks good, but I hope they continue on and address the shit that happened at the end of Witcher 2, because a lot of that went unresolved, and I don't even really see a passing reference to any of it here.

Also looking like the combat is going to basically be unchanged from W2, in terms of flow... not sure how I feel about that. Always thought the combat was the weakest link in the Witcher games (not to say it was terrible... just the weakest link in a good game).

But man, those visuals are gorgeous. I'd like to know what specs it was running on.

I'll probably need an upgrade for Star Citizen anyway....

I'm really happy for CD Projekt Red. They turned an ok first game into a stunning saga.

Combat-wise The Witcher far far exceeds ES.

Skyrim had a fair few problems.

It did sell well, though, but so do many other games that also have problems. It's all about appealing to general audiences.
