I might not ever see anything about this game ever again.

I'm interested in this. First one was a blast to play, but the second lacked something.

Isn't this one in the cold war? so you have to deal with the US and USSR trying to put nukes on your island? would be fun to let both sides on :-)

What is this game? A flight sim?

I know this isn't being developed by the original Tropico team, but the return to Tropico 1 style has me hoping this will be great anyway.

The developer in charge of this is German, and game companies thereabouts are notorious for releasing almost no info about games before they're released. Be thankful we're getting any trailer whatsoever!

Tropico 1 and 2 were awesome FPS'ers

It's out in September! 3 month away, they went for the nintendo approach it looks like.

If it is as good as the first one then i will be very happy, plus with the updated graphics it should be looking good to. I hope they put a sufficient tutorial in as wel,, that was my only complaint with the first one.

Looking forward to making some cigar huts and social clubs.

I have no clue what this game is about from that trailer.  I was waiting for a rocket launcher to blow the plane out of the sky, lol.  So is this a flight sim or what? 

I don't really know what goes on in this game, but I have a soft spot for games that feature nice, huge tropical areas so I am interested.

I really liked the first two games. But as this one has gone 3D it will be shit. As usual when management games move from 2D to 3D like roller-coaster tycoon.

I am surprised that not that many people have heard of this series. For those of you who haven't, i recommend that you pick up a copy of the original Tropico. It's a management sim, and still holds up well today.

Agreed, first Tropico was a pretty epic management sim. I hadn't heard anything about Tropico 2, but hopefully 3 will be nice.

Never played Tropico, but I played another island tycoon game in the late 90's called Holiday Island which was quite good.

Did anybody else just spend the whole time waiting for somebody to jump out of the plane with a parachute and a gun and the entire thing to turn into a Just Cause 2 trailer?
