They sure did a bad job of making this look like a different game from Empire.

This just makes me want to play Empire again more than anything... Napoleon is a little too similar to Empire if you ask me. Looks good for those who haven't played Empire, though.

Well think about it; a square formation means that roughly half of your men can retaliate from a cavalry charge, as opposed to a line formation, in which they would all get wiped out at once. A square is harder to break than a line. :3 "

Although some people will probably be turned off by the fact that this is Empire Total War done really well. I really dont care as long as in the end, its a brilliant game.  Improved, polished, focused empire total war is their marketing, and to that I say hells yeah.

Hm. They could have focused on fixing Empire first.

Napoleon Total War - Geometry fighting

Garrisoning buildings never made sense to me in Empire, the disadvantages always far outweighed the advantages. They become horribly weak to cannon fire, their own firepower is reduced... sure, they take less damage but more often than not their lost mobility is more significant.

Damn, so much going on at one time, I don't understand how people play these games.

Sadly, with so many games coming out, Napoleon is at the end of my queue.

Alot of improvements to this from Empire, though this is a standalone expansion from Empire and people shouldn't expect a whole new game.

Oh boy, I want to be hideously, shamingly, and damningly defeated in a multiplayer RTS. Count me in!

I love Total Warm but Napolean Total War is just stupid, too similar to Empire.

i kept picturing them yelling "rabble, rabble" when the camera panned over them

Looks neat. I'm god-awful at the RTS battles in these games, but they look so much fun when played well.

Im getting this! Never been a fan of the Total War series. Partly because I didnt really know what the games had to offer compared to other strategy games. But this looks like a lot of fun.
