I'm not sure anything was announced, but I like this better. Makes it more clear what's going on.

Looks Amazing!

Played this at EGX last year in the UK. Really striking look and fun, floaty controls. Really liked the tilt-shift effect/'Silicon Valley' intro style that the game had. The mouse+keyboard aiming actually seems like the better way to play over twin sticks from the brief demo I played.

Neat looking game. The distance on the characters might be a little hard on my eyes, but it looks conceptually cool.

This art is amazing. The music is dreamlike. It's a very fresh kind of cyberpunkish anesthetized rooftop mall thing which was, apparently, missing from my life.

So intrigued by this game. Not only is it visually stunning, but it seems to blend the in-and-out mission structure and flash reversal of fortune of Hotline Miami with the goofy DIY feel of Hitman. Whether you stealth like Brad or like Dan, it looks like there's something here for you.

The devs need to stay home and work on the game so I can play it already! This and Ruiner are easily my two most anticipated games of the year!

@taemun: Jeff has stated in his hot blog jeff.zone that the naming convention Quick Look EX was too confusing for people who didn't realize that they were essentially demos from people making/marketing the game.

So "We Play ___ with ___" makes it much more clear that this is a demo.

I like everything about this. Original Syndicate was the first thing I thought of.

The music was dreamy, made me kinda sleepy. So much styyyyyyyyyyyyle though!

Christ this game looks amazing. It looked great in that first trailer, but seeing it in action, wow.

Pretty neat! Dont like some of the artwork for the couple of the mission faces or what ever, otherwise nice aesthetic. Music seems pretty great! Very GTA 1 without the cars.

Also, maybe go listen to the Frozen Synapse soundtracks by Paul (as nervous_testpilot), they're great - as is that game.

Add me to the chorus of Love The Look Of It. Even gives me a touch of Lemmings Paintball in its action. The only downside that I can see is that this might suck to play on a touchpad laptop (which is sadly where I'm at in PC Gaming at the moment).

A few minutes in and it's referencing Akira, Transmetropolitan, Fifth Element, Blade Runner, maybe some Ghost In The Shell, No idea what it plays like but the taste of the devs means I'm in day one. cool stuff!

Love the visuals, but I'm concerned about the game play. Hotline Miami one-hit-kill difficulty combined with an obstructive and disorientating isometric perspective could create a very frustrating experience. Perhaps it's not so bad once you get used to it, but this definitely feels like a case of style over function. Hope I'm completely wrong about this.

Also not sure why the camera doesn't smoothy rotate. I get that they want to always keep the camera locked to an axonometric perspective, but I think you could make the transitions a little smoother. Perhaps they think doing so would take too much time when rotating the camera in the heat of combat?

I really dig the look of this game.

2017's most styyyyyle! I hope there are either more options for multi-plane battles than just the grenades or there's less of it as it seems like chucking a bunch of nades upwards at your enemies seem more safe than trying to shoot it out especially when it's one hit kill. Also some of the camera angles seem to completely obstruct your view.

@zefpunk: ohmylord Ruiner, yes. The aesthetic of that game is super hot fire. But this looks great too, honestly. Two distinctive, delicious cyberpunk flavors.

@uninvincible: At least the publisher in this case is a game studio that consists of 2 people.

Man, indie games have really stepped up their visuals in the last year or two. Really beautiful stuff coming out all the time.

This feels like the love child of Monument Valley & Hotline Miami. That fast travel system is the smoothest I've ever seen. That cat animation is top notch as well. Weakest part of the game seems to be the actual combat. Not a huge fan of pointing lines at enemies.

Looks PHENOMENAL and a ton of fun. The more they played the more I got that GTA1 vibe from it. They could use some more upbeat combat music but otherwise I'm real excited to just get lost in that world.

Not heard of this before now.... Can't wait to play it. Looks amazing.

@humanity: GTA 1 is a very good comparison. Also GTA 2 with the more futuristic setting. Spent a lot of time playing both those games on PC and PS1 respectively, and some of those memories popped up in my mind while watching this.

I LOVE THIS GAME. I played it at Day of the Devs a few months ago. It's SUPER hard and a little bullet-hell when in combat, but in a good way. Really fuckin cool. I'm more excited for this game than most others, now that Zelda's out.

FWIW Paul is the lead developer on the Frozen Synapse games, though yeah, he isn't dev on this game.

The most surprising thing is apparently Mode7 is publishing now? Huh. I'd rather they just made Frozen Synapse forever.
