We Play Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap with Lizardcube

I have no affinity for this game but I may pick it up purely due to the art. Looks really friggin' nice.

It really was. This and the first 2 Sonic Master System games were my jam.

I have a lot of nostalgia for Wonder Boy 3 in particular, because my best friend lived ages away, and we only ever rented it to play together. So, we'd rent it out maybe once a year to play it together, taking turns on the parts of the levels we were best at. Took us probably 4 years to finally beat, but it was worth it!

This was definitely an old favourite from my childhood. Amazing seeing a remake like this after ALMOST 30 years.

I feel lucky that I got to play some of the great Master System games that the US seems to have mostly missed out on.

@chuck_: why are they bad? just because they invite the developers to show off their game? they're fine as long as they're up front about it.

So does this replace Quick Look EX?

I've played through the original so so many times. Can't express how happy I am they remade this so well.

As someone who has never heard of this game and has no connection to the Master System, Id totally buy this.

The game looks and sounds great but more importantly, they gave it character and that makes me want to check it out.

I bought this when it first came out on the Master System in 1989 and can't wait to buy again in 2017. Being able to switch back to the original sound and graphics is a stroke of genius.

This is how you remake a game. Lovin the art style and music. I'd love to see other Sega classics undergo the same treatment. Kid Chameleon in this style would be a joy.

While I understand QL EX may have confused some of the casual site viewers, I'm not a fan of the "We Play" title replacement. It just sounds kind of generic.
