Let's be honest: that's a pretty solid lineup for the launch of a console. Are some of them multiplatform and have been out for a bit? Yeah, sure. At the same time, they are big games to have on the console at launch. It will help ease in their online play and find issues with it, gives RPG players a few things to toy around with, and generally appeals to multiple demographics. It's a smart move.

The hardware is also much cheaper than we honestly expected, and while people can say "it's going to crash and burn", the same was said for the Wii...and it thrived on last-gen tech.

I want a Wii U. I won't be getting it launch day, but I will be getting it within the first year of production.

Not the best launch lineup ever, but if you want to buy some of those games on wii u, they certainly wil let you.

I'm happy with NSMBU and Nintendoland until next year, especially with PC games and a few xbox games also.

Of that list, The Wonderful 101 is the only game that I feel a need to play, and I'm not going to put down $350 ($100 too much, and no I'm not getting the gimped machine) for one game.

I've decided that I shouldn't get any more consoles until they have at least five games worth buying, but by the time Wii U gets to that point, we'll be hearing all about the Durango and Orbis. To Nintendo's credit however, I will be treating myself to a 3DS this holiday season; PSVita is a dead handheld walking and there are now enough 3DS titles I want to play.

None of that appeals to me in any way. I got my fill of NSMB with the latest 3DS game.

ill wait a good 3 months and then ill get mario, zombie u, and hopefully pikman 3 comes out by then. The main reason tho that im waiting is because I just feel the BIG N might announce something big I don't know y but I just do.

This is actually a pretty well rounded launch line-up.

That's really not bad, especially considering that this is a Nintendo launch. Didn't even realize there was a new Scribblenauts game, that actually makes a lot of sense for the platform. I'm too broke to be getting one right now, but Pikmin 3 is pushing me to start saving, at least. NSMB doesn't interest me anymore, sadly. Wish it did, but Nintendo managed to wear the concept out with the last release. If Giantbomb does another "Take a Break" award for this years GOTY, that's definately gotta be on there.

For me I'll probably grab New Super Mario Bros Wii U, Zombie U if it reviews okay. If I can wait the couple weeks I might also grab Assassin's Creed III on Wii U, from some comparison videos done from E3 footage it seems like it is the best looking console version and I think having the map on the gamepad would actually be useful in an AC game, the loading times for getting into the map view in those games has always sucked.

Well there goes any reason for day one. Might just wait for Dolphin U to play the few Wii U games worth playing.

    I'm a patient man as you'll discover.

I'm waiting for those underground niche games that always seem to pop up without a brand. Chibi Robo, Eternal Darkness, Conker, Little King's Story, No More Heroes. Also money. That's important too.

I can't see who this console is for. People who wants to play Darksiders II, Batman, Assassin's Creed III, Tekken Tag 2 etc. already have those games or own a console that can play them.

Of course there are the Nintendo exclusives, but if this is Nintendo's way of getting the "hardcore", I have always hated that term, gamers' money I don't think it's gonna work.

With this line-up, it's a tough sell for someone who already has 3 platforms to play games on.

Nothing in that list that interests me, or I don't already have on another platform.

I don't know why, but I actually want the Wii-U to succeed, but like every console, I might wait to buy it. I want to see how it does with the quality of games first. If you think about it, it's nice to have a console where you can play all the multi-platform games as well as Nintendo exclusives. It's almost like having two console in one.

There should have been a Zelda or Pokemon game that made use of the Wii U's relatively superior hardware; instead we get nintendo versions of games that are on other consoles.
