I'm posting this in GENERAL DISCUSSION because every single one of my threads that has been moved from GD to another forum has experienced a colossal decrease in replies. When said threads are initially posted in GD, they receive replies. Once they are moved, they no longer receive replies (yes, posters can see these threads pop up but eventually they are no longer seen as 'most recent' and are therefore left to collect dust in their respective and inactive forums (i.e., the WII FORUM, the RESIDENT EVIL forum, etc.). Check my post history if you disagree.

So, to the question at hand... What are the best games on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console?

You can, of course, willfully ignore this thread as some kind of attempt to ignore or refute my point (which has already been proven).

I gotta give credit to Soldier Blade on the PC Engine (Turbographx 16). Amazing gameplay and soundtrack. And listen to the poster directly above me, all that stuff is awesome.

No, no, the obvious ones are welcome! I never knew, for instance, that SIN & PUNISHMENT is good or MEGA MAN 2. I haven't heard much about either of those games, actually.

Also, isn't there something amiss with the VC version of FF IV? Something about a bad translation?

I can also point out at least one glaring absence on your list -- CHRONO TRIGGER!

oh chrono trigger! I totally forgot about that one :D

but you haven't heard people rave about mega man 2? it's the most favorably remembered mega man by the majority of gamers.

and the only reason sin & punishment is on there is because it was so heavily imported back in the day and also cause it's a Treasure game.

not sure about FF's translation but weren't they all kinda bad back in those days? :)

You've never heard much about Mega Man 2? I find that a bit surprising.

Anyway, Super Metroid is hands down the best game on VC. For me, anyway. Chrono Trigger is a second, I guess.

Also, I sense a thread being moved. Don't feel down about it, all of the threads get posted in the "recent" list. It will get noticed, and if it doesn't, then it probably sucked.

It's true -- I haven't heard much about Mega Man 2 at all.

How does Super Metroid play with the CC Pro?

So how about those Virtual Console games? I'm looking strictly for RPGs that aren't Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger.

Phantasy Star series is excellent... well 4 is awesome anyway. I keep trying to play through 2, but that is one grind heavy game. Last time I made it to another planet. I was pretty psyched about that.

Other than that, um, Legend of Zelda games?
