Does anyone know if the online features for a Japanese Wii will work in the United States? I'm not talking about the American menus and shop channel, but rather the Japanese options the NTSC/J Wii would normally log onto. Can you use it in the U.S.?
       Thanks for any help.

If you get a Japanese Wii, you will have access to only the Japanese Wii channel. The same is true with an NTSC Wii in Japan. You can still use it (im 90 percent sure) but you cant use the american vc or wiiware.

The Wii is region-locked, so if you have a Japanese Wii, no matter where you go, you will go to the Japanese Wii store and Channels.
