1. Use the joystick to maneuver your aircraft, and the IR to aim, with shooting as a button-press. Good sides to this would be that it would make aiming very easy. A downside would be that your ship would look really wonky unless they change the gun type. The guns on Fox's ship are stationery, therefore changing your aim would make your ship shift in place very goofily.
2. Use all IR, and dependion on where you aim is where you move. A plus to this would be that it removes the wonkiness of the method above, but a downside would be the amount of precision in your ship. It might be tough to dodge geysers of lava with this control scheme.
3. Use the Wii remote like a flight stick, moving with Wiimote tilt, and not including IR. This would be true to the flight simulators of the past, but could make aiming difficult at first?
What do you think? I would say #3, because it makes for an awesome new peripheral: Wii Shaft, for your flight stick.
