Why is the Wii Clock Always Fast?

#1 Posted by insouciant (654 posts) - 3 years, 3 months ago

The system clock on my Wii is always a few minutes fast.  I used to try to change it to the correct time, but in one or two days time it would be fast again.  Now I just let it go and it stays  four minutes fast.  Is it just me?

That's odd. Mine is more reliable than the one my cable box shows.

Any games that you play that use the clock in any way?

@Willy105:
Yeah, Animal Crossing: City Folk and Wii Fit.

Wii time is different to Earth time.

Doesn't sound like it's fast, it wouldn't stay at 4 mins if it was going faster, it would keep increasing. Maybe there's some sort of online time synchronisation feature whose server differs from your home clocks by that much?

Dude, woah, that happens to me too!

Usually 2-4 minutes faster. I just turned on my Wii and it was two minutes faster than my laptop clock and phone.

I also play Animal Crossing City Folk.

By the time I turn on my wii again it will probably ask me to re-enter the time anyway.

And it isn't happy.  The first site it is going to attack is here.  I tried to warn you all, but you kept on being rude.
