According to my sources (next poster: this is where I stopped reading, it's coming!), MS actually does have some announcements (show at 9:30)
Here's what we'll see that you'll (maybe)  care about

- 3d space live demonstration (picture to 3d model program)
- windows 7 announcement--->  This is not to overtake Vista, but more of a sidestep.  Not superior, but only a slight incremental upgrade.
- halo wars demo on xbl tonight
- halo 3 recon trailer (not a teaser) + rest of the map packs for halo 3 to show (on bungie.net- only a mention during show)
- touch screen computers
- microsoft retail store chain

^ I wouldn't wait for it though. There are rumors, but remember back to the E308 where almost everything was right except Forza 3, Silicon Knight's new game, and Bungie's game (Halo ODST).  Those were just delayed (well, forza might be wrong, but it's probably right- we know it's coming)

Well, CES is tomorrow, so this would be a feasible time for such announcements.
Of course this adds equal weighting to it being a fabrication, also.

^ CES is today actually.  Their keynote is a 9:30 eastern.
I'm tuning in.  I don't expect much in terms of gaming, although I expect something, but I just like tech I guess

I honestly doubt halo wars will have a demo out tonight, it doesn't come out until March....games generally have demos a week or so, a month at the absolute most before release.

I'm hoping Halo Wars is going to have a demo out tonight but it probably won't happen... plus I don't think I'll be able to download it because my account is under age...

Hmmm... I'm not sure .CES is  not were announcements like these would be made. The event is mainly a technology event and Microsoft rarely announces anything big regarding games.
