Zhang He is the one of the "Five Elite Generals" of Wei, the implicit villain side in the Dynasty Warriors and Romance of the Three Kingdoms series of video games. He is a historical figure based on the romanticized depiction in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel.

Overview

Zhang He began his service under Yuan Shao. However, during the battle of Guan Du, Yuan Shao did not heed his counsel to protect their food supply. Cao Cao subsequently destroyed the food in an attack. With the morale of Yuan Shao's forces crushed, Zhang He lead his troops to surrender to Cao Cao. He subsequently became an officer under Cao Cao and one of the "Five Elite Generals" of Wei.

Dynasty Warriors

In the Dynasty Warriors series, Zhang He is depicted as having a campy, effeminate personality and an obsession with beauty. He fights using swift, graceful movements with a pair of large metal claws.
