Some games force you to try and survive as long as possible without losing, or tasks you with surviving a certain number of "waves" of enemies before granting you victory.
Enemies that are small, deal relatively low damage, and have low health, but make up for it by attacking in large numbers. Examples include Flood infection forms from Halo, Trites from Doom 3, or Crawlers from Resistance: Fall of Man.

A transformation is a different stage or form for something. Usually an upgrade.
Some bosses transition through two or more forms during the course of a fight. Each form has its own abilities and health separate from those of other forms.
When a normal jump isn't enough and when a double jump just wont cut it, there is the triple jump. Just like a normal jump and a double jump, with the extra third jump in the end. Few games utilize this, and the more common double jump is often instead.

A powerful weapon often found near the end of the game that is significantly more powerful than other weapons. It can also be the last weapon in an RPG game that does drastically increased damage compared to previous weapons.
Bosses that are designed to not be beaten; however, sometimes these bosses can finally be beaten at a later point in the game.
An unbeatable enemy is just that, an enemy you can't beat or destroy. It's best to just run away from them.
The Undead is an umbrella term describing creatures that do not exhibit the key fundamental attributes that are associated with life, such as respiration, and blood circulation. They are divided into two main categories: Ethereal and Corporeal, depending on whether or not they have a body.
Video games contain a lot of activities for players to do underwater, from exploration to combat. Sometimes games treat water as simple low gravity movement, while other games treat underwater more realistically.
An additional difficulty level that becomes unlocked after meeting certain criteria, such as beating the game or dying many times in the same area.
Cutscenes that cannot be interrupted or bypassed through player interaction.
If the protagonist is standing on an unstable platform for a certain amount of time, it will eventually drop. Usually there is a pit below, or some other hazardous danger.
Weapons can often be upgraded with new attachments, augmentations, or magical enchantments. These upgrades result in the original item being more powerful than originally intended.
Veteran Rewards are given to players who have either played a previous game in the franchise or, in the case of MMO's, have played for a certain number of years. They can be in-game items, money, skills, cosmetic enhancements, achievements, etc.
