Gigantic game announcement coming on August 14th. Speculate!

People it is not GTA5, Half Life 3, Respawns new game, or Blizzards next MMO. Look at BaneFireLords post and there are your options, Capcom, Sony and EA. Possible to be the new Dragon Age, another Dead Rising or a new IP alltogether.

You guys are way optimistic. No way it's going to be HL3 or project titan. I find even GTAV and MGS5(TGS probably) to be highly unlikely. It's probably some game everyone forgot or didn't expect.

And still it breaks my heart a little every time HL3 gets mentioned, stop breaking my heart =(

My ridiculous random guess - Final Fantasy Versus 13 In-depth reveal. Even wilder guess is that it is that plus an official renaming of it to Final Fantasy 15.

Picross 3D 3D and they cant reveal because the cover itself is in 3d. Minds blown.

It'll be Dungeon Keeper 3 that will be announced! I can feel it, guys!

In my perfect world it would be related to Blizzard's Titan project or news on what Bungie is up to.

For anyone that knows me, there's only one obvious choice on the list.

I'm guessing Bungie MMO. As others have mentioned it would make sense for Valve and Blizzard to announce their stuff through their own platforms. GTAV has already been "revealed." As much as I love the MGS series, I don't know if a new iteration would be considered a "huge reveal" nowadays, and Kojima is demoing his team's in-house game engine at the end of the month so I would assume that any MGS reveal takes place at that time.

I'm going with Half-Life 3, what with the recent info on the new/improve Source leaking

My bet is on GTAV, fallout 4 or Respawn Entertainment new game. Reason for that conclusion is that the publishers for these could and can be in the no-no zone. Especially Bethesda. But then again maybe there could be a zombie in the closet with the likes of FFVS13 or hopefully new consolls.

The question is will it be more or less disappointing than a Total Recall remake where nobody gets their ass to Mars?

I want it to be Titan, but there is no way they would reveal it right before MoP comes out.

Mainstream popularity absolutely. But I haven't given a shit about COD for years, and for people who really liked what they did when these particular guys were given the freedom to innovate with COD4 (which is still the best COD to date) like me, I am excited to see what they can do when designing from the ground up.

I wanna know more about Titan, even though it probably isn't Titan.

I hope its the Bungie game but it will probably be GTA5. Maybe it will be some details of a next gen game but it seems early.

Nobody else has the money/reasons to hold back an announcement. Respawn is still small fries until they put out some new games and EA isn't willing to spend that kind of cash to slow down an announcement, Bethesda didn't care about TESO leaking, which would be far bigger then anything else they could have up their sleeves. Most companies don't really care about stuff getting talked about/released before the known date, and only a few can really pull out the money needed to make sure things stay on schedule. Of those that do, only Valve/Rockstar/Microsoft seem to care enough to try it.

My guess is either TF3, HL3, or something else from Valve like LFD3. They've just set up a ton of interviews/trailers with various sites, and put up a huge hidden TF2 site, which usually means lot's of new stuff. This could fit in to all that.

I really think it's either Respawn's project, or Valve is finally going to announce Half-Life 3. Those are really the only two games that I can think of that would garner a worthy worldwide reveal.

IGN has an article and the 3 press conferences (Capcom, Electronic Arts, and Sony) all happen on guess what day? August 14th. So for the love of god quit thinking its this incredibly huge game! Any publisher can set an embargo on a game announcement.

Sony has confirmed it has two titles to announce that day and IGN also says Capcom has a big announcement. So people if you are going to speculate, I would speculate a title that would come from those 3 publishers.

My first thought (wish is a better word) was Battlefront 3. Man I would actually shit myself if I look at the cover and Battlefront 3 was on there. But I actually like one of the previous poster's ideas that it could be info about new consoles. Other than that, I'd bet GTA V
