    These soldiers serve in the Galactic Federation Marine Corps and are highly trained soldiers. They are usually sent to troubled areas in the galaxy in the Metroid universe.

    Overview


    The Galactic Federation Marine Corps comprises the ground-based troopers in the Galactic Federation military of the Metroid universe.  Standard Galactic Federation soldiers were first seen in Metroid Prime 2:  Echoes, though these soldiers were all dead by the time that Samus found them.  Metroid Prime 3 introduces the P.E.D. and Demolition squads. The P.E.D. soldiers use Phazon that is injected into their suits and causes temporary increases in their abilities. The Demolition squad are as the name suggest, for demolition purposes.
