I think Drew may be thinking of "no-see-'ums" - biting insects down here in the South [or everywhere, what do I know!]

Yeah, Drew was making a joke about chiggers also being called "no–see–ums," but Jeff didn't get it. Jeff must not have grown up in an area that had them.

I believe those are actually different insects. No-see-ums are basically just tiny gnats - they don't bite like chiggers.

Is this a leftover from Austin's tenure, or is someone at GB still running the guest program?

I believe Alex has taken over managing the guest column program.

@eggheaded: Yeah. Given how much people are really laying into this, maybe I should just admit to myself that this might be a bad game. To be honest, I haven't really played a ton of these survival games, so I may not be looking at it with the same context as a lot of other people.

While I do agree with the general sentiment that a more directed narrative experience like the opening would be cool, I don't think what's here is as bad as Dan (and a lot of other people) are making it out to be. This looks like it still has potential to be a solid survival game with some interesting narrative elements.

@dan_citi: Is 'Tetris DS' that good? I saw it at a local shop last weekend or the weekend before, and was thinking of picking it up — if it's still there — when I ride my bike up to do my grocery shopping.

It's definitely one of the better iterations of Tetris with some interesting variants in addition to the Nintendo flavor.

It's also relatively rare due to high demand and Nintendo not being able to do any reprints after their licensing of the Tetris brand expired.

Still no Romantaker, sadly.

Can't wait until it's revealed Roman's performance enhancing drug was Undertaker's soul.

The audio this week is not good. Almost sounds like there's a low-pass filter on everything. Very muffled.

It looks nice, but it also looks like the gameplay is extremely similar to Sticker Star, a game that I couldn't handle playing for more than an hour or two before I deleted it from my 3DS.

RIP Paper Mario.

Loved this game on the SNES. I was really hoping this game would be more of a brand new game, but a slightly enhanced version of the original with some new features is cool too.
