Wife likes Lucina.

We like Ike.

My 4 y/o is getting crazy good at Kirby and recently figured out completely on her own that she could eat someone, walk off screen, and spit them to their doom and does so with 0 emotion, 0 words.... she also will light Kirby's hammer on fire and, while slowly damaging herself, inch toward me and my wife while we are fighting and just be giggling out "here comes Kirby". It is horrifying.

Chuchel - Had went to check it out on Steam and saw it had gotten review bombed because they made a small change to the game to make it a better experience for a small subset who had some issues with it.... so I bought it immediately cause good on them. My daughter enjoyed watching it and its got some great moments. Still not in love with point and clicks though.

Florence - Tried it, did absolutely nothing for me. Had my wife try it, did nothing for her... ah well. We are highschool sweethearts with no big emotional upsets in the past, not for us.

Obra Dinn - The overwhelming shoutouts to it in guest lists and GB rankings made me pick it up and skip all the spoiler sections of the deliberations... looks cool, looking forward to diving into it.

I have but not because of any issue with Steam. Due to increased competition there are usually incentives for buying stuff on other launchers so I can save money while also making it easier to share my large Steam library with my wife (or share my other launchers with friends) without having it all consolidated in place. After using many different launchers, I do feel steam gets too much crap. Even if just comparing the basics, Steam just works and does so many things I rely on - Moving games between drives easily, giving me insane download speeds, sensible organization, easy account sharing, etc.

Bioshock 1 - The game I built my PC for, but then the Orange Box came out... I woke up from that TF2 haze years later and finally beat Bioshock 1 about 4-5 years afterward (I started a new save but I had only killed the first boss)

Psychonauts - This game is actually the most spot on for your question, I think I took 2 years off before the last boss/zone and I finally loaded it back up and had to spend a week getting the controls re-figured out but I did it and I beat it and that game is the best. YEA!

@mayjatom:

I strongly second the Rocket Jump Ninja recommendation. After finally getting tired of replacing my Razer Death Adder every year and a half I watched a ton of his stuff and came away with a good idea of what to look for. I ended up with a Steelseries Rival 300 because at the end of the day it fit my hand wonderfully.

I went a bit nuts before that and ordered about 6 Mice. If you like the Logitech those are basically the best value, but my hands are just too big and langthy and they are generally awful for me. Take a look at the Razer Basilisk! I Keep it in a drawer for the occasional game because it has this thumb trigger that is kinda revolutionary as far as mice go. The overall mouse isn't my favorite fit but that trigger is just crazy neat.

@inevpatoria: My half off Dyson air purifier begs to differ.

My wife picked it up this morning and said it was a pleasant experience, the manager made a handle on the box for her out of tape, in and out.

Following a thread currently and seeing a shocking amount of success stories. This is similar to when nearly everything on Walmart was 80% off but Walmart was so much more aggressive in trying to shut it down.

Pretty happy, will see about my second order on some headphones... fully expect it to be cancelled since it won't make it to the store until Wednesday, but ah well, probably for the best. Good luck to everyone with orders :D

Searched for Wind Waker and didn't see it posted. The slider puzzles are the worst thing ever in one of the best games ever. The contrast is undeniable.

Also its doubly bad because its not like it was a mechanic that just didn't pan out, it is a known terrible thing just sorta shoved into a section of the game.

I have a tattoo of the Steam logo across my shoulder blade.

I was always into the idea of a gaming tattoo but never had a specific game that really hit home with me like people usually have with Mario and Zelda and all that. What I did have was some very fond memories of watching my brothers play CS 1.6 / Source. I also had the bad mark on my record from the time I logged into my dads email so I could hijack his dormant account and play some Valve games. When I built my first gaming PC the Orange box had just released and I put an ungodly amount of time into TF2 (and still play other stuff with people I met on there). A girl I met in highschool was also into video games and I got her setup with a steam account and PC and that was our easiest way to spend time together for a while. Finally, to really make sure I didn't regret the tattoo later on, I asked Valve to help me out with proposing to that girl and they did. :)

The icing on the cake was we moved out to Seattle later and I worked there briefly on a contract basis, it was the first job I was able to secure in Seattle and made the whole move possible at the time. I had planned to apply back later on but I became a stay at home dad instead.

Mainly though I've always just liked the look of that logo.

I think on the Beastcast or one of the E3 videos Vinny explains some of the details he learned from the behind closed doors stuff. A population of people traveled to a new place, but in the travel they became irradiated and can no longer breed. To maintain the population they clone themselves, then that sorta weaves into some bio-engineering and the different animals are different working classes. So BG&E1 Jade is just many clones later version of Mad Jade it seems.
