Got mine pretty late from the Amazon pre-order nonsense, but that worked out since I got a free month of prime and 5 dollars credit for being like "yo wtf guys" and I wasn't in a rush so yay.

That said... Secret of Mana did not age well for me. But at least now I can finally beat this game I use to only be able to play in short bursts at a friends house.

Fair enough. As someone coming from playing Descent with my friend GMing, he often had to tweak the difficulty on the fly to make for a fun round for us vs a fair round for him. I enjoyed it being a bit more rough on the invader (GM) since it allows me to go all out on my play group and feel really good about my turn instead of dialing it back on them so that the 4 people I am playing with have fun and get to feel clever. If you are playing with less than 4 soldiers I can totally see what you are saying though, I didn't try it much but the balance mechanic for less than 4 seemed too... simple, and it just made a good player too good from what I could see. I gave away a fully sleeved Dead of Winter because it just wasn't hittin for me for the same reason you mention for DOOM, so I getcha. Do you have other 1 vs Many games that you like?

I'm a little confused, why would you want to get rid of it? I haven't played it a ton recently (back into Video games atm and board game hobby is on hold) but from what I did its very good. It flows quickly, is relatively easy to teach, setup is... well.. par for the course on those bigger games, and it just lets people play how they want really well. I was recently at SHUX and specifically walked a couple miles from my AirBNB back to the convention because I forgot to tell Jonathon Ying (the designer) that he did a great job on it and I felt he deserved to hear that... so, I like it at least.

Was scrolling down here to mention this. Loved Craig's show, excited to see how this turn out.
I've always been a little confused about the love of Conan and dislike of Jimmy, both rank about the same in my book as having some decent bits and the occasional good interview but the day to day is largely forgettable. I need to check back in and see how Colbert is now, was a huge fan of the report but the Late Night show has never stuck with me. I haven't watched any in a while now, all I really recall at this point is Seth Myers show was the worst I've ever seen.

Have BattleCON: Devastation of Indines arriving tomorrow. Pretty excited.

So my last three game purchases all together have been Arms, Tekken 7, and a board game that is emulating a fighting game. Tis the season.

@ajamafalous: Exact same thing with me! I always get to the end of the water craft part and just hard stop. Basically that's as far as I can make it in a sitting and once I save and walk away the game is just 100% cleared from my mind. Same with HL1 as well. I am a pretty big Valve fanboy in general too.

What a nice thread to stumble on to as I just recently found a PS3 on the street! Having sold my old PS3 when I moved cross country, I swooped that fat ol' monstrosity up. It had a note on it saying the cables were lost, still works, free to whoever. Generic. 3. Prong. Cable. I got like 8 of those! and still had an old PS3 controller that I had held onto for limited PC use. So I took it home and wiped it (was still signed into the dudes account and everything).

Bonus! It is also the Emotion Engine release model (60 GB is so tiny now), and it had a copy of Terminator Salvation in it... (can't win em all)

Immediately bought Resistance 1-3 off craigslist, bought a ps4 controller off Amazon, and had my brother over to relive those good good launch day memories of playing through the first one a half dozen times.

I also bought Demon's Souls cause Dark Souls is my favorite game and now I can finally play its little brother.
