"Capcom's boss, Inafune- san had this to say recently regarding the 360: 'I think I can only get away with saying this now, but I really thought that the using the Xbox 360 was only way to break into overseas markets, and I took that hypothesis all the way. In the end, I am very happy that I did so.'
"
It's a little obvious isn't it? "Hum... what to do to break on the American market? Tonkinoise soup or burger?" I mean, come on...
I think the real interesting part of this interview was when he mentionned that it was hard to go against the general consensus and trust Microsoft instead of snubbing them. It says a lot about the Asian market and on how they perceive the American and European market.
I mean, it's a classic. Everytime I rebuild or reformat my PC, I do two things: install an OS and then Baldur's Gate... then everything else. Obviously, there's other series I like, but this one's still my #1.
Not a bad move from Capcom, even though I don't believe anyone can get better at SFIV using that guide. There's just not enough solid info in there. That being said, if they're willing to reach out to the community, to make Street Fighter accessible to the larger public, this is a good first step.
"I dont spend money at bars, on coke whores, or on meth. I think my girlfriend appreciates that. A few thousand dollars on videogames is no big deal. I use cheapassgamer and goozex to keep costs down as much as possible "
I have to agree here. I live a healthy lifestyle; I'm not a big spender. I can go from one paycheck to another and only pay bills, nothing for myself. So I don't really feel guilty buying a game here or there.
Why the hell would Capcom want to start putting out games for what has been Street Fighter's greatest competitor? If I was Capcom, i'd by MK and shut it down permanently.
