A game that when first released was unknown to me but soon became a favorite. This made me renew my XBL gold account.
After Giantbombs comments in their review and also on the pod(bomb)cast, I quickly ran out and bought this game. I was not disappointed. A surprisingly good all-round game.
There has not been a GTA that I have not liked but this one even topped Vice City (my previous favorite). Although Vice City's soundtrack is better.
I own this game on 360, PS3, PC and Mac.
A must for Star Wars fans. The story was good and filled in the gap between eps 3 and 4 but game it self was pretty average.
I played this right after GTA4 and thought I might get sick of the open world gameplay but Saints Row 2 is a completely different experience that GTA4 and as far as pure fun goes, actually tops it.
It took me a while to get back into Halo after Halo 2 and I actually didn't play this until months after it's release, but as soon as I started again I was hooked. A decent ending to Master Chiefs story (or is it?).
MK vs DC.... For me this is like Heroin vs Crack. I still haven't kicked.
I have very mixed feelings about this game. I finished it and enjoyed it but still have a lot of problems with it. Ending sucks.
Burnout 3: Takedown was my most played XBox (original) game so when they changed to an "open world" in Paradise, I was very scared it would wreck the game. It didn't, this game's great, especially after they released the (free) update to fix some of the issues.
The B team did a fare job on this one but still doesn't compare to IW's CODs.
If it wasn't for the "drive for 10 seconds, stop to kill everyone.... repeat" gameplay, I would have loved this game.
Incredible, massive, detailed, engrossing.
Made me an RPG fan. I spent a long time playing Fable 2 and loved every minute of it. If you are not and RPG fan because it seems to involved or to much to keep track of, this game might change your mind. Fable 2 makes the RPG elements very accessible.
Yet to finish this game but have promised myself I will go back and do it one day soon. A beautiful game that shows how to do a game with no HUD but still have all the info you need on screen. Best played loud with the lights off (with a fresh pair of jocks).
Huge game that gives you the freedom to do and be whatever you like. If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings, you will love this game.
A master piece. Over all to quickly but what a time you'll have.
Use this game as a gateway drug to get anyone you want into gaming. It works.
A good inprovment
Best FPS (Half Life 2), Best add-on content (Half Life Eps 1 & 2) Best new franchise (Portal), Best class-based multiplayer game (Team Fortress 2) = Value for money. Or is that "Valve for Money"
Came with my 360. Played it once but liked it very much. Can't tell you why I never went back. To many games, not enough time.
Cell shading done well.
Rivals it's console brother's and sister's.
The first good Street Fighter game on a handheld (in my opinion).
Great use of atmosphere
I keep hoping for a great Matrix game.
Looking at the cover still makes me angry. I wasn't very good at this game.
A classic in the horror genre.
Can't been those physics.
Made me get back into gaming.
Bit disappointing after Resident Evil 2
An absolute classic. Was the first truly scary game for me.
Fun times.
Can you dig it.
Melee combat at it's best
A decent job with a decent license.
"Hit the Road" was one of my favorite games and ever since I have loved anything with Sam and Max in it.
First time I played Video Games with my Mum.
High School GTA was surprisingly engaging.
I loved this game and my friends thought I was crazy. I am a huge Matrix fan though.
Cemented my love for Video Games.
(Like a many people have said before) First hour or so was fantastic but got very repetitive.
I'm a graphic nut so this game was a must play/have.
More of the same but better in almost every way. Great arcade racer.
Similar to Assassins Creed for me that it started off great but became repetitive. Loved the crazy stunts, looking forward to number 2 (out very soon - [20.03.10]).
Good, but didn't do it for me like New Super Mario Bros.
Great atmosphere, didn't like having to switch between plasmids and guns (2 fixed that).
Burnout = Great
See above. Actually the first Burnout game I played. I was hooked from race 1.
Burnout on the PSP was done very well. This game was the system seller for me.
This kept the DS in my hand for a very long time. Kind of hard by the end.
Series changer. Still one of the best (if not the) Castlevania game available.
Another great game that showed what the PSP could do. A must own.
A very good Mario Kart game but they all have been.
"Far Cry" on the PC was one of those games that I showed everyone I could. The graphics and setting were amazing. Far Cry: Instincts however lacked something the original had, for me.
A classic FPS that was absolutely beautiful to look at and play. I would go for walks up and down the beach just staring at the scenery.
Beat em' Up / Hack n' Slash at it's best. Made me buy a PS2 (not that I wouldn't have anyway, this just made it an essential purchase)
After God of War 1, I didn't think they could improve to much on the second. I was VERY wrong. One of the BEST games of ALL time. If you call yourself a gamer and have not played this... you are NOT a true gamer. Go get it now!
The best PSP game... If you want to show someone what's possible on the PSP, show them this. Have a PSP = Buy this game.
I was a little late to the party on this one but am very glad I came. If you loved this game back in the day, I do suggest you don't go back and play it now though. The memory is better then what you will find.
I have a love/hate relationship with Zelda. Phantom Hourglass didn't change that and in fact I both love and hate this game. Hours 1 - 5, love. 5 - 10 hate. Hate's a strong word but "love/dislike" doesn't sound as good.
Interesting idea. Very simple controls which made that game what it was. Am waiting for the PSN version using the six axis.
The Godfather and GTA combined, what's not to like? The damn slow cars, that's what. Still, I found Mafia to be the best GTA clone (until Saints Row came along).
Loved this. Still one of my most played DS game. Tracks from all the other Mario Kart game was a great idea. Found myself thinking back to those SNES days after school playing this with mates.
I LOVE MAX PAYNE.... Better then the first in every way except for the actor who played Max Payne in the fist one was better... I LOVE MAX PAYNE.
I LOVE MAX PAYNE.... I built a new PC for this game. My mate had it first and I would go over to his place almost every day to play it until even that wasn't enough. I needed to be able to play it 24/7/365... I LOVE MAX PAYNE.
Title is very appropriate. Felt like a playground for action heros (or villains, whichever way you hang).
Take an old-school Mario game, add a few tweaks here and there, make a million dollars (or $500 million as the case my be). Great game though.
Great game but it's still no NBA Jam TE. Boom Shuk-a-lacka.
I wonder if my (Ninten)dog is still alive. I haven't feed or played with him for a few years. I'm scared to boot it up now. Sorry boy, I did love you.
