I'm going to predict Giant Bomb's Most Disappointing Game of 2014 as Watch Dogs.

I played the Japanese version of Fates last month. The face rubbing in particular felt really out of place and frankly a little creepy to me and it was my least favorite part of the game by far. It just felt tacked on and totally unnecessary, much like the hot tubbing part of the game or the NeoPets-style minigame that feels like it was thrown in as an afterthought. However, it would have been nice if they just left the face rubbing feature in and perhaps gave users an option to simply disable it instead of removing it from the release completely. That's cool if you all are into rubbing faces, it's just not for me and as someone who is going to be playing the NA version of Fates soon, I'm glad I won't have to deal with it again.

Definitely do not watch this if you care about the story and story missions in this game. Even some of the enemies that are shown off I would consider spoilers.

@austin_walker Great idea having a short podcast to coincide with the guests' written articles!

Those Toad hunts look like a real bummer.

They really are, but thankfully I've only had to do a couple of them so far. I'm hoping that the rest of the game isn't full of Toad Hunts, because man, it's bad. It's cute for the first five minutes but after that it's just tedious.

@webnet: I don't know since I haven't played them both, but the campaigns are two sides of the same war. The DLC is the neutral path. I heard that the maps are different for each side and each side features it's own characters, though.

@webnet: The story is really interesting so far, at this point I like it more than Awakening. It's still pretty early on though, I'm only on Chapter 9 of Birthright and I know there are about 28, and that isn't including any of the side missions or map encounters or anything in the My Castle stuff. It seems like a very long game.

@webnet: I'm actually playing it right now, I'm about 10 hours in to the Japanese Special Edition, using an English fan translation. It's pretty great. I was expecting it to be just more Awakening, but it's so much more than that. It's packed full of stuff.

If there is anything specific you want to know, feel free to ask. I'm playing the Birthright path, which is supposed to be the easiest out of the three. I'm playing on Classic mode with permadeath.

In all the years I have been watching and listening to GB stuff, I have NEVER laughed so hard as when the Ark blew past their stranded spacecraft at over 8,000 km/h.
