I really think ya'lls experience with Mario Maker is far to unrelatable compared to how regular people experience being able to Tweet out levels and get thousands to play is something normal people can't at all relate to.
I said this very thing to someone the other day. Mario Maker is going to be their best game of the year even though they have a completely unrelatable Mario Maker experience, with an entire community willing to play their levels and curate levels for them.
I've long thought the same thing about Mario Maker. It looks like a great game, but I think opinions would have been vastly different if the staff didn't have a ready pool of 50,000-100,000 people waiting to play any level they put out. Not to mention all the stream stuff, site features, and what not.
That's fine though, I mean we can't expect Giant Bomb's subjective opinions of a game to perfectly match up with what "normal" people think. The real test is going to be when the Community GOTY list is compiled.
I see no problem with them putting Mario Maker as the winner. It's their list based on their experiences. Saying that it wouldn't have made it that far up the list if they played it on the same level as the majority of the crowd is not a valid argument since that's not how they experienced it. It's really simple.
I...didn't say it was a problem or that I disagreed with it? Not sure why you chose to quote me here.
If DCS World eventually makes its way to VR, that would be pretty incredible.
DCS already does work with Oculus Rift. The only issue is that one needs to have a full HOTAS setup and needs to be intimately familiar with all of the controls of the aircraft in order to use VR. This is due to not being able to see the keyboard. I mean, just look at the keyboard map for the A-10C alone.
@zaldar: Life is Strange doesn't need to be anything...it's my list and completely subjective. You can put it wherever you like on your own list, though. Thanks for stopping by.
Besides - this list is unordered right now. There is no ranking yet.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has always interested me - did you play it with or without a Circle Pad Pro? I don't really like the idea of investing in a peripheral just to play one game, so if I can get away without it I would probably jump on this game.
