Nope. Skipped over this one. Not really for me honestly. Seems a lot of people enjoyed it though.

So, I have a Roku TV and I found a Giantbomb app on the available list of channels to add to my home screen but the app seems to not work anymore. I'm not sure if this is an official app and its going to be fixed at some point or if its just a 3rd party app that was abandoned would be neat if the app was actually updated to work properly.

I bet this kills E3. People were already pulling out left and right this year. Who is going to want to trust the EA with their information after this?

I think cloud gaming is the future. I've already given up physical media so like I'm not sure why I should be somehow so dearly tied to the concept of local installs of games. The cloud stuff brings so many advantages.

1. No cheating

2. No waiting for patches or downloads.

3. Accessibility.

4. Portability

Now obviously I'd say it probably does pay to be skeptical a bit but a few things here.

1. Modern streaming tech works better than you'd think

2. The industry is pushing in this direction as a whole.

3. Even with data caps being a concern next gen games are going to easily hit 100GB per download as more native 4k content is being consumed.

So I don't think this is going away. Personally. I've embraced the cloud future already. Been checking out PS Now for the last few months and it actually works pretty well. I've also got the stadia founders edition pre-ordered and plan to play Doom Eternal on it this fall.

MK11 looks solid. Very pumped about it shame about the Rousey stuff though. Id rather not have her transphobic sandy hook denying ass anywhere near this project and... I don't understand why NRS felt they needed this?

MK has always been for a fighting series extremely mainstream.

So, Online beta through the 14th is happening this weekend. And I know there are plenty of people who might be new to DOA or just unsure about jumping right into online play against other people.

So its tip time. I've spent hundreds of hours... and dollars on the DOA franchise so let me give you a few basic tips to get you up to speed.

1. The basis of all of DOA is the Triangle system. Think of it as paper , rock, scissors. Strikes beat Throws, Throws beat Holds (Counters) and Holds beats Strikes. So if you've got a really aggressive opponent who likes a specific string figure out if its a high/medium/low string and counter it with a hold. Got someone who is turtling up on defense? Surprise them with a throw!

2. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make with DOA is getting down this downward spiral of trying to do holds to counter everything the opponent throws at them. This is a bad idea. If you mess up a hold and take a hit you take EXTRA damage. There is no chip damage in DOA so unless you absolutely know what string your opponent is going to do a simple block will get the job done and be a whole lot safer. Just make sure you don't turtle to the point where people are just exploiting that fact for easy throws. Holds are more useful for when you have a pretty good read on what your opponent likes to do. Randomly throwing out holds will just get your clock cleaned every time.

3. Simple damage strings work well in DOA. Flashy combos are awesome but the most important thing in DOA is outplaying your opponent when it comes to defense. Countering with holds where appropriate, blocking strings and punishing with a counter string these are the things you should pay more attention to.

4. Did you get knocked on your ass by a really aggressive opponent? STOP. Before you go hitting a button to do a wake up attack like so many people do consider the following. When you do a get up attack you can do two types. Mid or Low. That means the opponent has a 50/50 shot at correctly countering your wake up. Or you just getting tagged by some random overhead attack they do while your waking up. Instead against a really aggressive opponent get up in neutral blocking but just holding block. This gets you up and allows you to instantly block after you regain footing.

Tl;dr : 1. Know the Triangle system! 2. Don't try to counter everything~!! 3. Keep it simple on offense! 4. Consider your wake up options before you hit a button!

Have fun and hope to see you online!

I keep thinking this can't continue to be a worse PR Nightmare for Bethesda and every day I'm surprised at just how wrong I am. This really seems like a slam dunk for a lawsuit. Apparently the said poster at one point posted a screen grab of said leak confirming this but it looks like the picture has since been deleted.

In short this was posted on the /r/FO76 reddit:

Hi guys! First time Reddit poster here. I am a gleeful vault dweller as yourselves and as of this moment I am receiving every single one of your support tickets on my Bethesda account. Mostly it's your receipts for you power armor set requesting a new bag. These receipts contain all your info. Your email and home address and the card you used to buy this extremely glitched game. I can see the problems you are having with the game, yes I'm having them too. And I know a few of you want a refund that Bethesda has said can't happen. I can update your ticket for you, if you'd like. And close it! How fun is that? Please rest assure I have no desire to stalk you or mess with your Fallout 76 experience. I just wanted to let y'all know that this is happening atm. Anyway, I gave Bethesda a heads up via the Twitter. So we will see. I wouldn't want to be the person having to respond to all of you. Currently there's 8 pages of canvas bag requests, tickets and "fix or refund me" demands. Is there anyone enjoying the game like me? Oh well! See you in Appalachia. Be nice to each other. I love you!

Honestly I think video navigation is worse but... that might just be me. I don't like how obsessed the design is with the "shows" concept. And I really don't like the carousel design either and don't like that they got rid of embiggen but what can you do? It seems like this design was being pushed pretty hard.

Honestly its caused me to only come to the site for live streams most anything else if its not a premium feature I'll watch offsite these days on Youtube.

@cikame: Same really. I haven't listened to any of their stuff in almost a year now.
