My War-Crack. I Always find my way back to this multi-player masterpiece, no matter how much cash I drop on a new release. God bless Valve.
Small text, zombie cows, dumb A.I. and save system aside.... the combat, photography, and scathing satire of American culture makes this a must play.
Yes, Mr. 51, I would like some more mindfuck with my gaming experience.
This is a interesting game. It's not very open world, the voice acting is B-Movie grade, and there are too many moves for too few fighting sequences. But this sequel to the QTE-pioneer has a certain charm that keeps it from being declared the worst game i've played. Though it doesn't help that there will be no closure to link to that boring Guilin sequence.
It got me singing Ashlee Simpson to myself. But it did it in such a way that I can not curse it to Hell.
Mind you, I haven't played a lot of Castlevania. Other than this, Portrait of Ruin is the only other installment i've played. (So sue me!) Of those two, I enjoyed this one the most. However, Soma Cruz looks like he should be in a boy band.
JRPGs are not my cup of tea. I couldn't tell you the plotline of your favorite Final Fantasy game to save my life. (As far as i'm concerned, Tifa has a wonderful bosom and Aries probably dies in every installment.) Skies of Arcadia (Legends, that is) was different..... somehow. I can't tell you why, but up close it has all the major JRPG cliches (strange wardrobe, girly men, random encounters) but it was still enjoyable. Either i'm a larval JRPG fanatic or Skies of Arcada: Legends used some sort of black magic. I will say this though: Gilder's 'Gunslinger' move? Bad. Ass.
I lied. This game was nicely done too. A great work of crossover and RPG-Action, though I have yet to get past that last save point.
My opinion: the best installment in the series. I can say no more on the matter.
Ditto.
Um..... I... liked it? Christ, it's hard to describe your feelings for a game after you spent your limited vocabulary on a Skies of Arcadia handjob.
They should remake the older games with this game's grindhouse concept: it suits the series well. The flaws of this game was made up with the presentation alone. What other game to YOU know incorporates B-Movie grade editing, true exploitation-film grade characters intentionally, and a creepy prison warden who climbs into his mother's vaginia at the end? NONE! That's why I fucking loved this game. Headstrong, please work your magic for a remake of the originals!
Gameplay-wise, not the best and full of cheap deaths. But the gay-based concept and art is so over-the-top I love it.
Ignore what the AVGN said about this game. It IS kinda bad, but still enjoyable in its own way. Then again, I am a twit.
Fucking wonderful. Dated, but still a classic.
Very linear gameplay, but the story and humor is classic. Comin', people! There's a singing pile of shit in this game!
The bible for all these 'enhanced' arcade remakes to follow, none of them will get it as right as this one.
An under-appreciated classic.
Gangsta gangsta.
Fond memories of my childhood with this one. Just avoid the Virtual Console version, it's not just the same.
Mario Kart 64 was classic, yes. But Mario Kart DS was almost perfect for me. May even throw it in after i'm done wasting time on this list.
Touched was empty, Smooth Moves was too, and the original just had nothing on this motion-sensing triumph.
Only Infinity Ward should be allowed to make WWII games.
Hate the art direction and calligraphy-based combat of this game? Well, fuck you then. Fuck you anally with a dildo covered in pointed shrapnel.
