I re-rolled 7x for this. Here's my Friend Code: 9386982083

Holy shit 2 5* after only 7x is good. Currently on my ~20th reroll, gotten 1 5 star a couple times but not the ones I want, so still going... Gotten 5* Elise, Roy (twice), Chrom, Peri, Lyn

no code yet since still rolling, but what benefits do friends give you in this game? Haven't looked into it yet.

Seems like you send daily gifts to each other. Guess it's helpful, but in small bits.

@jaycrockett: It might be possible to do some of the content with 2* units, but it's going to be tough. When you compare a 2* Sword unit vs a 5* sword unit at the same level, there's a difference of something around 2-5 in all stat points. In Fire Emblem, that is a huge difference. And worst of all, a 5* unit will have all their skills learnable, while a 2* unit will have half of them locked because of their rarity. Making it even tougher for you.

I'd suggest you at least use 20 gems to do 5 pulls, hopefully get decent units and then save the rest for your favorite character. That's what I'm doing for now.

My new fav is from FFXV. The one I liked the most before that is from IX.

Legend of Dragoon 2. It wasn't amazing but it was as close as any company outside of Square came to aping what made PS1 Final Fantasy games well liked. C'mon Sony.

Oh hell, Yes. A Legend of Dragoon 2 would've been great. Sony had it in the works but they canned it early on after Shu Yoshida left Japan Studio.

A new Breath of Fire game. Nothing like 5 or 6, that mobile game.

Chrono Break. The 3rd game in the Chrono Series, even tho the first 2 weren't really closely connected as people had hoped it'd be.

A new Grandia sequel, set in the world of Grandia II.

Last anime I watched was Code Geass R2 and a few eps of One Punch because of the hype it' has gotten. I still check out a lot of anime OP and ED for some good music, and this tokyo ghoul one was really catchy.

Gotta disagree with OP there. Crisis Core has the worst combat system. It wasn't fun at all, don't know if it had to do with psp controls or just bad design. Also, having to grind like crazy with that system made me hate it even more. Go play it now and compare it.

VIII's Junction system was stupid as well. It makes you NOT want to use your magic that is junction to your stats, because the less magic you have, the lower your character's stats become. (Also has the most nonsensical story in the series. Time wrapping amnesia bullshit)

If you just said you didn't like the combat system because it's no longer turn base, then that's fine. But it being the worst in the series is wrong.

FFVII:R might end up having the best combat system. It being done by CyberConnect2

Haven't gotten that far yet but I read that you can just continue playing after you complete the story. Can someone else confirm?

I get that they want to involve more of the MCU characters because of the movies, but c'mon. Wolverine, Magneto and the other popular X-Men are such beloved characters in those cross overs. It's going to be really disappointing if they are all being left out.

Play Chrono Cross. But don't go in expecting it to be a sequel to Trigger. It has the best OST from a game in the PSONE era. Or, Play my favorite childhood game, The Legend of Dragoon. I'm going to just start recommending that to anyone now that asks for which JRPG to play next.

- IX. I love high fantasy so IX really filled that itch for me. At first, I disliked Zidane as much as you did. He wasn't a boring character like Squall, but by the end I liked him more than I thought I would. IX became my favorite FF game mainly because of Vivi. His overall arc was great and he's a good foil to Zidane.

- VII ending is pretty simple to me. The planet/lifestream ends up saving the planet and its inhabitants. The people of the planet finally decide to stop using mako, living a more eco friendly life. Which leads to the final scene of RedXIII overseeing Midgar being overgrown with vegetation.

- Do NOT play Crisis Core. I love Zack and every scene that happens with him and Sephiroth, but everything else in that game is boring as shit. Especially Gackt. With him spouting all his poetry bullshit throughout the entire game. Just watch an edited movie version of it on youtube or something. I knew what was coming for Zack and I still enjoyed his character.

- You should DEFINITELY jump into a different JRPG series of the PSONE era. Maybe go with the crazy mind boggling Chrono Cross. Or go with another fan favorite. The Legend of Dragoon. Which is probably my favorite childhood game. Or you can just continue this final fantasy wrecking train and go onto FFX.
