Hey gang,

For a while now, I've been aware of this "It's always Sunny in Philedelphia" show. I'm super torn on the show. I watched the first 2 seasons in a binge sitting because I enjoyed it so much. But I can't STAND seeing Danny DeVito on screen. He's so gross.

But I really wanna get back into watching the show. I just re-subbed to Netflix, and it's kinda number one on my list of things to watch.

What do you think lads? Is it worth me getting into? Does it decline as it goes on like I've heard?

What's the best way to catch up with One Piece?

I stopped reading a few years ago with the Dressrosa Arc just starting. I read a few of the colloseum chapters, but got bored and kinda drifted off. I wanna get back into it, so I guess I'm gonna either watch or read to catch up.

People who're caught up, what would you recommend? I watched the first episode of the arc today and it was a bit too goofy. For most of my OP history, I've read it, while watching some specific parts that I wanted to see animated.

I can do either, but I'll only do one. Is watching it bearable, or should I just stick to reading?

Cheers!

Hey gang,

I'm buying a Switch in a week or so, and I'm a bit hesitant because of how EXPENSIVE EVERYTHING is. The games are still £50, the controller is £60, which is just obscene.

So how much do I need a pro-controller? I hear a lot of good things about it, but it costs so fucking much. What do you think chaps?

If you held up and tapped B in Pokemon Red as the ball hit the pokemon you had a higher chance of catching the pokemon

Alright gang,

I've been playing a lot of modern JRPG games lately, and I've been wondering how different it is playing a game is now compared to when I was young.

Back in the day, you only had 1/2 games, so you proper played them to death. But I was thinking lately:

"How the fuck did we EVER discover X?"

Take in point: I've recently been playing FF12: Zodiac Age on PS4. But after just finishing it (Finished main story and the Gilgamesh hunt which was an awesome throwback), I wondered how the fuck were you meant to discover some of the shit in this game without using a guide.

Some of the hunts are SO OBTUSE to discover. Even after a few hours searching, I had to look up where X hunt was, and it was TOTALLY off where I was looking, in a hidden area I didn't even know existed.

So I guess my question is this lads:

How did we ever manage JRPG optional content/side bosses before the internet became widespread? Was it official guides? Playground rumours? I'd love to hear about your experiences.

To add a little context: I'm 28 and grew up playing SNES and PS1.

Hey gang!

I'll cut immediately to the chase. I'm overweight. A lot of my work clothes are a much tighter fit than I'd like to admit, and I work in a primary school. This means a lot of kneeling down to talk to young people, bending over to listen to them, and walking up three flights of stairs multiple times a day to get to my class.

I hate to use the term "New year, new me", but I suppose it's pretty apt to use here. In the first 2 weeks of January, I'm moving out of my parents house, and into my own flat. I'm understandably excited. But one of the main reasons is so that I can completely rennovate how my life is. I'm gonna eat better, and live better.

Now, I've read PLENTY of success stories about DDP Yoga. I've been a big Dallas fan since he was the WCW heavyweight champion, and I've followed his life with regularity. Everytime I see him post something about DDP Yoga, I'm pretty amazed. If you haven't watched this video, please do, it should inspire you.

I watched it again last week and literally had tears in my eyes as I watched. I didn't want to see myself turn into something like this. When I look at DDP Yoga, I routinely see people losing up to 3.5stone in 3 months, which would be IDEAL for me. I want to start eating better, exersizing better, and turning my life around so I'm not a fat sack of shit anymore.

Has anyone here had any success with this program? I'd love to hear from you if you have. I ordered the largest set last week, and I'm expecting it to turn up just before new year. If there's any interest, I'll post monthly blogs charting my progress. Anything that might inspire people to change their life.

Thanks in advance if you HAVE had any success and decide to share your story.

How does it look? I pre-ordered it and got it for £13 including free next day delivery, but I've been focusing on FF12: HD at the moment. I'm wondering if it looks as stunning as the original looked

Have you purchased any gear from shops? What about gambits? Magic? Weapons?

Rarely. I just don't have enough money for them. I don't have any gambits outside of the ones you start with, and I bought Cura, Protect and Shell for situational moments. The rest of my gear is baseline stuff. After every dungeon/area I sell all my loot and buy them a weapon from usually a tier under what I'm up to. But if what @therealturk said is true, I'm always gonna have my licenses a little higher than my current available stuff

Take advantage of the fast forward system and grind like crazy anytime you feel under powered. As far gaining more money, make sure you are selling all of your loot. Other then Teleport Stones, you really dont need any of that stuff and the "loot" drops are the only way to actually make money in the game.

You can get a ton of great loot drops with higher level chains - find a corridor or something where only one type of enemy spawns, preferably something around your level or right below it, put on a podcast, and just grind and grind until you've got a ton of loot. Then go sell it, you'll make more than enough money to buy all new weapons, armor, magic, etc. Alternatively, you could focus on buying stuff for half of your party and then later on, buy stuff for the other half of your party and spend some time leveling them up. Or you could just focus totally on one half of your party, provided you've classed them well enough.

I think I've classed pretty okay. Basch as a Knight for pure weapon damage and innate tankiness, Fran as a Foebreaker for weapon damage and eventual debuffs, and Ashe as a White Mage for general healing. I'll probably give Ashe Bushi as a secondary, Basch a Shikari, and Fran with Archer for her second job.

I'm fucking LOVING the game, but even boss fights are a bit easy. The only things I'm struggling with are the elite marks, which are kinda difficult

Hello gang!

I've recently picked up this game, and for the most part, I'm absolutely loving it. The more mature theme is very welcomed, and I'm enjoying the locations I've been in so far. But I seem to be running into a problem with how I approach most battles.

The problem is that I feel so undergeared the ENTIRE time. To give you a bit of insight, I'm just about to enter Wraithwalls (SP) Tomb, and I feel super unprepared. I have a full tier of weapons behind on my main 3 characters. My main party has like, level 4 weapons unlocked on their licence board, but I'm using the first weapon on level 3, and I think I can buy the others too. Then there's my armor/accessories. Almost the entirety of my main team are on level 4/5 of their armor, and they're ALL using the same armor that they came with, with the exception of random pieces I might find in a chest or pot. Nevermind owning the relevant spells/technicks for each class. I've picked default attackers with most of my team, simply because I can't afford any of the higher level stuff.

While I'm here, I guess I might aswell ask about gambits too. I know I'm early on, but I just don't feel like I'm using ANY. I have my WHM with "Cure<50%" and "Raise when KO'ed", but then the rest of my gambits are just "Attack party leaders target". Like I said, I know I'm early on, but do I ever need to micromanage my gambits more carefully?

I hear that the Lhusu mines are pretty good for farming bone fragments, but the skeletons only appear in 1/2, then they'll spawn in a bat. How am I supposed to build up a chain if they keep spawning bats?

Any advice would be TERRIFIC. I'd appreciate it!

PS: BASCH LIVES
