The fact that Horror is it's own genre has always baffled me. Horror is an emotion not a genre. That would be the equivalent of a genre called Joy or Sadness.
Just went to see The Martian. That movie was really really good. Way funnier then I thought it was going to be. Also *spoilers* Sean Bean finally got to live through a movie!
@soulcake: Yea when everyone was getting into the Taken King expansion it made me just want to get back into Warframe some more since it's just a better destiny and free.
How did Ori and the Blind Forest not make that list! It's not just GOTY material but stands to give a running for game of a generation. That game is a fucking marvel. I understand that it seems like it came out forever ago but I sure hope it isn't somehow forgotten in GOTY talks.
@lawgamer: Don't feel bad about wearing New Balance. They in fact make the best running shoes for the price. With other brands your paying a premium for the brand and fancy marketing ploys.
@mirado: It's not about the races. Races aside everything in the game is way worse then Chaos Edition on PC. The only reason to play this game is if you're playing on console or don't like waiting a couple of minutes to matchmake since there are more players.
No grid on the field
No way to tell players apart (no nameplates/numbers)
No visual upgrade when players level
No league management options aside from player age
No way to set skills to ask to activate
No player stats for each player (passing/rushing yards/TD/etc.)
No dice log other then 1 line of scrolling text at the bottom
No lobby/league chat
No way to look at the opponent's roster during inducement purchases.
The list goes on and on. And if it's telling at all, the number of players on BB Chaos Edition shot up 70% after the release of BB2. That's how terrible it is. That instead of players switching over to BB2 it instead attracted more players to there older superior games.
Yea I was going to suggest Warframe. Your not grinding random guns or anything. Your instead grinding materials, mods, and blueprints to craft your weapons and frames, but the game play loop is very satisfying.
Yeaaa PS1 was one hell of a system. Doubt there's anyway to just list 5 games. You could probably have a top 50 where all the games are of the same caliber.
