Last year I was an active participant in the Giant Bomb Community Endurance Run. I raised approximately two to three hundred dollars, and in the process fell in love with Final Fantasy VII. Unlike last year, I am not letting you pick the game I livestream. Lessons learned as they like to say! This year I am committed to playing Final Fantasy VIII! Yes, the game that started it all!

Some of you may be slightly disappointed to hear me playing a game I have already romped through. Well, let me make it up to you. My donation incentives let YOU DECIDE how much of this game I play! In fact, here are the donation incentives I have in place (if I have struck out an incentive, that means we have reached that fundraising goal):

Question: Why Final Fantasy VIII?

Answer: I wanted to live stream as complete a play-through of a Final Fantasy game as possible. With me ostensibly halfway into Final Fantasy X my options were limited. I can’t play X-2 due to spoilers. So I went with my “sure bet” with Final Fantasy VIII.

Question: When will donations close?

Answer: WHO KNOWS! Right now I am locked into playing the entirety of Disc One. Hopefully, your donations push the window of opportunity even further.

Question: Will you be naming characters and/or GFs as a donation incentive?

Answer: YES! Be it Squall or Shive, I am open to naming any possible character based on donation comments on my Pencils of Promise Page.

Question: Are the donation incentives to determine the amount of time you play Final Fantasy VIII simultaneously or total time played?

Answer: Simultaneous

Question: Isn’t “Finishing the Game” going to take over twenty-four hours?

Answers: Yes

Question: Aren’t you going to die if you play forty hours of Final Fantasy VIII?

Answer: My original idea for this charity drive was rejected as being a legitimate risk to my health.

Answer: “Fighting Final Fantasy: Infinity Edition!” For every $25 donated to my page, I would have played a Final Fantasy game of my choice another hour. I’m pretty sure this idea would have killed me.
