I did my part. I humbly request that we team up and name every nameable thing in FFVIII either Zell. Rinoa's new name? Zell. All of the GFs? They're Zells now. Rinoa's dog? Zell. Squall's lion? He's Zell. Zell is only one letter away from hell. Coincidence? You decide.

@thatpinguino: In honor of Zell can we name every character a different brand of Hot dog?

@zirilius: ZP had to ask me multiple times what each GF did despite me guiding him through the game by the hand. If two characters have the same name, it might end him.

Are you actually planning to do this all in one go? With no significant breaks? Because while I think it would be funny to donate to make someone play FF VIII (a TERRIBLE game) again, after all the news of streamers with health problems or even dying from too much streaming I am not interested in contributing to that. I would prefer something like 10 hours per day (or weekend day) until completed or something. Not interested in contributing to something that could hurt someone, even if they volunteer.

@bigsocrates He's up to $200. And I will personally be his bartender and cut him off from FFVIII if he's been playing for too long.

He says on the donation page that after 24 hours he will be taking a break to keep things from getting too unhealthly but will come back to complete all goals.

@thatpinguino: ok, umm, I don't really have a strong preference, but how about naming one of the GFs Ryan Davis? Because who would you want watching over and supporting you on a mad quest more than that dude?

If I remember right, Omega Weapon isn't that bad, you just need to cheese him with Limit Breaks the same way you break the rest of the late-game. Having 100 Megalixirs via card refining is nice too.

EDIT: Never mind, I was thinking of Ultima Weapon. Well, from a quick glance at a strategy guide for Omega, it seems more or less like the same sort of idea, just harder and longer.

@cloudymusic: In a game with a limit break called The End that kills almost all enemies in one hit, difficulty is relative.

We are now at $250! This means I am locked into completing Disc Three! I am also locked into completing The Brothers, Odin, Tonberry, CC Group, and Doom Train.

#TeamZell has been dealt another significant blow. My latest $25 donation asked I name Zell Squall.

Which might be worse than everyone being named Zell.

@jesus_phish: You only get to name Squall, Rinoa, and Rinoa's dog in the main party. Everyone else has set names. You can name all of the GFs though.

I googled around, I'm going to have him name the ring/lion Zell. So that Zell has to use dolphin blow on Zell.

@jesus_phish I had a revelation last night: ZP dislikes Selphie far more than Zell and if we name everyone Selphie, we can have ZP take a selfie while Selphie, Selphie, and Lil B are summoning Selphie to fight Selphie. Therefore, I move that we establish #TeamSelphie instead of #TeamZell.

As it stands, the Giant Bomb Community Endurance Run team is sitting pretty! Just take a gander at these astounding stats from Pencils of Promise's main page:

As it stands, my individual page is in the "Top Five," and the GBCER Team is in third place. While we have no hope of beating the most corruptfinancial institutionin modern history (i.e. HSBC), I think we can beat this high school leadership class. I'm going to go on a limb and say the Giant Bomb community has it within itself to raise more money than one class of over-excited high school students. The next two donors above me are a banker with a single $500 donation, and a boy raising money as part of his Bar Mitzvah.

With that in mind, I'm less than one hundred dollars away from reaching my original fundraising goal of $500. After discussing the matter with Gino, I have decided to solicit community input in developing "STRETCH GOALS!" Unfortunately this ISN'T KickStater. I will not be able to use my stretch goals to oversell my abilities and guarantee my product disappoints millions. My torment has an undeniably low bar to summit. Be that as it may, here are some of my ideas for stretch goals:

1. Final Fantasy VIII Karaoke - I sing Eyes on Me
2. The Hotdog Challenge - Every time the word "Hotdog" is said in the game I have to eat a Vienna Sausage. (I think I might get cancer if I do this)
3. Obel Lake Side Quest - Maybe we want to see Mr. Monkey together? This side quest is kind of a nightmare to complete.

I think we can all agree my ideas are terrible. That is why I want to ask YOUR HELP in developing better ideas! So shoot away!

P.S. I'm NOT doing the Queen of Cards Quest! I have limits.

When are you going to admit that you kinda like these games? I want to tell you that you don't need to feel ashamed. Some guys get off on women standing on their nuts, and you like Final Fantasy. I think I speak for the whole GB community when I say I'm not here to judge.

I wasn't familiar with what a "Vienna Sausage" was until I googled it. Those things look disgusting in every way.

@jesus_phish: Vienna Sausages aren't the worst thing in the world but then again I stopped eating them regularly like 15 years ago. There are worse forms of meat to eat and once you get over the slime factor can be quite okay. It's really no worse than bologna.
