I'm in China and I can assure you Rorie that no one is tapping feet together to greet one another.

I can see waking up, working out, and taking a shower, then taking another one before bed. Otherwise, if you aren't roofing houses in Vietnam or something, you can get away with just one. Work out in the evening, and skip the morning shower.

As a fan of the Tales of games, I've counted maybe 4 different occasions when Wolfteam is brought up in a video, Jeff says, "I think they went on to make porn games" and someone else mentions "No, they became Namco Tales Studio" lol.

They've since been absorbed into Namco, so they technically don't exist anymore, though.

Sol-Feace is awesome. I played through Sol-Deace earlier this year on the Genesis mini and still loved it. Back when shooters were mostly beatable. And man, that music.

Silpheed was another one I loved. It blew me away! A couple levels felt like giant battles, with crazy shit happening in the background while your crewmates chatted away. The PS2 one was ok, but I was less into shooting bugs at the time.

And congrats, Rorie, that final stretch was tense as hell.

...Dragon Force was worth it, though.

I love shmups and Silpheed for Sega CD has always been one of my favorites. For the time it was very cinematic, and off the top of my head it's hard to think of another shmup that used it's background so well. Not to mention the stellar music.

Also congrats to Rorie for finishing first, that was amazing! And I actually kinda like the concept of the BR racing game.

Hmm! I wonder if that Jaguar audio could be improved by increasing the audio buffer, assuming there was a way. Sounds like how ASIO stuff gets for me if I leave it running for too long without a soft reset. Really fuckin sweet to see how far you've already gotten with the emulation either way. I can't wait to see how that progresses for you. We gotta see what horrors await on those Jag CD games.

... Fuck man, I really just need to buy a MiSTer already. Retroarch actively makes me not want to touch fucking any of those games because of how awful the interface has somehow managed to remain to this day.

This was a refreshingly great UPF. Things kind slowed down when Jeff brought out the Mister but that’s because whenever this happens it just turns into old game channel surfing. Jeff picks a game, they all get a kick out of how bad old games used to be, then after 3-5 minutes they go to the next thing on the list. I used to like Encyclopedia Bombastica because they would show some old game but talk in depth about it and share some fascinating or at the very least engaging pieces of trivia about it. I know there are fans of this but personally I just don’t see the value in the Mister segments when it’s just “huh this looks rough..anyway..”

A tip for the eliminator Rorie, all head to head races go in the direction of the centre of the circle. There's a throwaway voice line that only plays once to tell you, which is annoying.

Another thing that works for me is going to hood or driver cam when going through the forest.
