Can't believe Don't Worry, Be Happy got so much hate. That's such an innocent song. I remember first hearing it; our music teacher played it for us in elementary school. I loved it right away. Can't say it's much of a favorite of mine anymore, but it doesn't deserve all that hate...

This may be a case of boomers v. zoomers, but when it comes to bad 80s songs, I absolutely do not like Summer of ‘69 by Bryan Adams. The whole song is just about nostalgia, but not even in an interesting way. It’s like, yep, you were a teenager in the late 60s, and now 15 years later you’re an adult and people have moved on from where they were at in 1969. OK, great. To quote the great Jeff Bakalar, “Who gives a shit?”

This 80’s song stuff is getting really old. Everybody has different tastes so everybody is going to have different opinions on what the worst 80’s song is. Why is this content?

What's up with the 80s songs being good pop songs while the 80s was jam packed with the worst hair metal crap. Feel like that stuff was so bad it was buried to the point where younger fans don't even know it existed. They never had to see the JOCK JAMS commercial every 5 minutes in the 90s.

@doombot13: Hey, that was me! For the record, my full email mentioned that I love Hall and Oates, but that song is terrible. And Brad going from "fuck you" to "actually it's the worst Hall and Oates song" is kind of how my thinking goes whenever I think of that song. I think it deserves nomination for being such a (subjectively) bad song from a great duo capable of much better.

But I'll take my designation of monster gladly. :)

Brad totally missed the point Jeff was trying to make with Call of Duty.

They took a fairly recent real life event, one which many are starting to consider a war crime by the U.S. and changed minor details to make it "fictional" to turn it into entertainment.

Replacing U.S. with Russia specifically further adds confusion as both U.S. and Russia played a role in the real life events the game closely resembles. Turning war crimes into entertainment is treading a fine enough line without the added confusion of using literally the same name as a real life event when not aiming for historical accuracy. It's unfortunate but dramatized works do impact people's perception of real life events.

It would be equally weird if a game set in Vietnam war era had "fictional" Chinese dropping Napalm all over South Vietnam and you got to play as the Chinese soldiers burning "fictional" villages of Vietnamese civilians.
