Murder Island: Apex Legends - Advanced Dying Tactics

I know it's harder on stream and can feel redundant with voice chat but you really ought to be pinning more. Pin drop locations, loot caches, guns and good attachments, where to go next, and especially whenever you spot an enemy (you can even ping mid-drop for squads you see dropping near you), much easier to read than "squad west".
Then again you need to actually be paying attention to pings your team gives you, Ben.

I feel like you're also often getting caught off guard by people, I think it'd be worth it to have a Bloodhound on your team, they can sniff out footprints, opened doors, and how long ago a trail was left. Not to mention the useful sonar and ult for when a chaotic fight breaks out and you have no idea where your opponents are.

You'll play much better as a team the more often you remember to use your abilities and how you can use them to keep your team from being jumped, and just being better as managing your gear (getting as much ammo as you can carry for your weapons, beefing up your weapons with attachments and seek out better ones, keeping your armour topped off etc.)

The better you get with looting and sharing gear the easier you'll handle yourself in the mids of a firefight or getting geared up again after getting revived.

I don't really care how good at the game they are that's not really why I watch people play games but just in case they see this comment here's a little friendly piece of advice: commit to a jump location. Being the first one on the ground picking up stuff is more important than getting to a specific location with the possibility of getting something good. Be quick, be responsive, be spicy. In my experience, you're more likely to get good loot by killing people then finding it in the wild.

This was fun, I certainly wouldn't mind a few more streams of this game. They really should stop playing this like PUBG (and on PC) though.

The more I play the more fun it is but the ultimate problem of BR is still shown here by the very last match.

Because of this I've stopped trying to loot continuously or sneak around because it's generally a waste of time. I rather have a firefight early on, die and go to the next match, than skulk around for 15 minutes to die in seconds.

He consistently says wrong things about most games (which is fine, w/e, except that it's) in a definitive manner on most content he's on. He's very confident in his misunderstandings.

@rawbear: the kills counter on the banner is tracked independently of each character you choose. So unless he's played only that one character, that's not his total kills

My heart sinks every time I see them play this over Titanfall 2. Watching Jeff play during UPF was so much fun and I've been playing lately but watching people play battle royale who spend 98% of their time picking up loot is a real drag when they could be wall running and shotgunning pilots across the map.

The first few times they played PUBG caused me to go pick it up immediately because it looked so much fun. I got 3rd place in the first game I played and honestly that was enough battle royale for one life time for me.

Only a few more days and weeks until we start getting some good single player shooters and maybe they will play those instead of all this Apex talk lately which is kinda getting stale.

Having watched the GB videos and some of top tier streamers for Apex, it's obviously unreasonable to expect Ben, Jeff, and whoever else to play at the same level as monsters like Shroud. Those are people that have literally played shooters as a full time job for years.

With that in mind, I feel like the first part of the video with Vinny was much more enjoyable than the second part with Brad. Vinny had an infectious mindset along the lines of, "Don't worry about winning, just have fun." After Brad tagged in, everyone started to focus more on success than entertainment.

I'm not saying I dislike Brad or that GB shouldn't do any more content on Apex Legends. I just think the duders should approach the content with an emphasis on conversation and personality, not on optimal play and kill count. Figured I'd throw my two cents into the hat.

Ben trying pro gamer tactics he read about online always goes well. I couldn’t believe it when he said he shot smoke by accident because he rebound the Keys.

Also why were they obsessing over gun attachments so much? Just hoover up what you can get and look out for enemies.

12 mins in when Ben shot at someone who was on advantageous height compared to them (with an LMG no less, also Ben needs to look at things more carefully, I've barely played this game and even I knew just by looking at the gun and its icon that it was an LMG) made me bounce off this video because wowza.

When people like me bring this up, we are specifically looking for a hire that is good at videogames. i.e. has developed the skillsets required to swap between almost any game genre and perform better in 10 minutes than the average person (or gb employee for that matter) learns in 10 hours. You would hope that someone on staff had developed these skills over their decades+ of "gaming", but alas.

I'm not trying to be a dick but you're just listing some things that staff enjoy playing. I couldn't take you seriously beyond "Ben is pretty boss at Tetris". I'm not here to hate on anybody but seriously.

Nice video, I enjoyed it. Sadly, this feels like the last one from this seasons Murder Island. :( Less energy compared to the PUBG ones. And this team didn't feel "optimal" in any way.

The outcome/performance of the crew is not surprising, what do people expect?
I do not think practice with mouse and keyboard or amount of hours in FPS games are the biggest factors though. Some people have it in them naturally, and some don't. Practice helps for sure, but one must be realistic.

Why is PUBG so much more fun and entertaining to watch than any of the other battle royale games?
