OMG Extra Life with Alex and this drums will be bliss

That drum set is probably the coolest gift anyone has ever sent in to Giant Bomb.

Those drums are killer! Watching Alex play them really makes me want to get back into Rock Band again.

Just wanted to chime in and say I too also wouuld love to see some Rock Band streams! Sweet mailbag.

As well as the awesome gifts, I think it's fantastic that someone of the stature of David Fincher is now filming the mailbag videos!

Those drums are nifty, but what was going on with that filter? It looked so green. Is the GBE studio in the Matrix?

I currently live in Maine, and though whoopie pies are a great idea (they're basically the old trick of tearing off the bottom of a cupcake and putting it on the top to create an icing sandwich writ large), I rarely eat them because of the "enormousness" mentioned. Even the normal-sized ones are like 550 calories each. They can be great if well-done, though. (I wish that the Wicked Whoopies/Isamax hadn't become the representative brand of whoopie pie; they use way too much vegetable oil/shortening in the icing & cake and taste kinda plasticky.)

I can watch Alex drum for 12 hours again like last year's extra life stream. That was incredible.

I've got the Ion kit at home but would love to be able to get my hands on something like that. So cool.

I had to Google what a whoopie pie was, as I don't think we have them in the UK.

Cool lighting, handheld camera, background music, boy Vinny was in a production mood today.

These drums are so quiet, it's nice to hear the game audio as Alex plays. These things are amazing!

I personally would love more Rockband segments or another extra life stream at the very least. Using these drums in either of those would be a much-welcomed addition.

@vinny: Is the color in this video a type of filter that makes it better for a colorblind camera operator? I thought it looked pretty cool and was just curious. Also whose face is on the light switch in the studio?
