I still can't comprehend how that 52 minute mark moment happened. Alex was aiming directly at the guy as he shot Abby. Even if he had tunnel vision, the dude was standing smack dab in the middle of the tunnel!

lol one of the better streams they've had. Abby is a great add into the rotation.

The best stream they've done of this game so far. It was an absolute constant stream of hilarious moments.

Watching Alex passing on ammo when he's looking for weapons was frustrating. Dude, when you've got a backpack, stow it away for when you eventually come across something. You can always dump it or trade it to the team if it turns out you can't use it. That minor criticism aside, this was easily my favorite Murder Island stream they've done yet. So hyped for that 8x kill.

Hahah, man I got so triggered when Alex left the AKM, which he had loads of ammo for, while sticking with the SCAR with 13 rounds.

Best and most successful run so far ! The bombadeers are picking up some skills !

I think I don't enjoy these anymore because I've been spoiled watching really good people play on Twitch.

I think you guys are still playing in a way which still suggest you haven't played the game much at all.

Things you can improve:

- Learning to loot much much much quicker than you currently do, meaning you can loot more buildings thank you currently do. Alex, learn to use the tab method, it is objectively better even if you initially suck at it.

-There are a lot of down periods where you guys are just faffing around, you should either be looting, scouting, or moving to a strategically better location

You think you guys are going to get a chicken dinner by playing the game very little outside of the Monday stream but I think at the current rate, you will win one out of luck and luckily being in the right place at the right time as opposed to any strategic skill.

Though arguably you guys are improving.

Before you decide to tell me these are supposed to be fun, fun for me is to see you succeed though also unplanned stupidity like Vinny's friendly fire kill streak.

I think what happened was when Alex ran into the room and stopped, Abby's name tag was above the guy's head, so I think he mistook him for a teammate.

Hmm. While this is all good advice, I think the entertainment value in watching (and playing) this game for me is in the mistakes that get made despite efforts.

I've played with really good players of the game now and I honestly find the experience uncomfortably intense and rigid when things are played that optimally.

I was constantly getting flak for 'why are you standing there? Why did you miss that loot?'

But I've also played with a team that were earnestly trying their best but just averagely skilled at the game, and very much game for laughs like some ill advised road trips, and ended up both having much more fun and still doing pretty well in the match rankings.

I'd much rather watch and play with a crew like this or Crowbar and Sickle where they are genuinely trying their best but a whole load of human stuff happens, and the expectation is maybe it'll work out or not, but I'll learn some things, have fun and move on.

In fact, right after this stream which I was watching in the Waypoint discord with some people I suggested we jump in a game, and it was one of the breeziest games I've had, and we ended up squad rank 3 in our last run.

You need to do a Murder With Friends stream, where you get guests in, play together and interview them during the slower parts of the game.

The chicken dinner is actually the served up remains of your slain foes. Does that make it taste all the sweeter I wonder?

"I found an SKS is that good?" Well its a sniper and one of the best guns in the game.

Also they had stacks of 5.56 latest at the woodcutter camp. It was harsh to watch alex on 13 rounds and no one giving him a stack or two.

Another thing, if you want maximum healing of your bandage you can wait 2 ticks before applying the next one (they heal in 4 or 5 ticks of 5 health each).

Wait is Abby's nick a reference to Dunkey?

@godzillasbrain: Listen, you enjoy whatever you enjoy. If our style of play doesn't do it for you, no worries. But we're having fun learning together, and getting up to nonsense the way we get up to nonsense. I'm coming up on 50 hours in this game and currently have no signs of losing interest. Appreciate the tips and don't think I'm disregarding your opinion, but I'm not going to stress myself out trying to always play exactly optimally because that's not fun for me. And I'd much rather have fun with this than sweat every little detail.

Good call by Jeff on improving everyone's skills by forcing early confrontation. Not only do I think this made for a more fun stream to watch, but they were all already showing signs of growth a couple matches in. Can't wait for the next episode!

@alex: Agreed. I enjoy watching you and can understand what is going on here is a mix between playing and putting on a show. If I was trying to entertain many many randoms on the internet I'd have a hard time too.

That ending was all kinds of magical. Does the map have any high cliffs? Since the first episode, I've been expecting someone to have their camera positioned so that they'll drive off a cliff accidentally...though as I'm typing this, I realize that it was Alex controlling the camera.

I'll be surprised if this game doesn't at least reach the top three in 2017 GOTY talks.

Guys, start using the bearing numbers to call out locations instead of, "uhh, to the west."

The bearing numbers up top can significantly help your teammates when trying to locate other shooters or buildings.

This is easily the best they've played so far, I think!

Hey @alex I noticed you were using the compass bearings when you were a good distance away from your team with the 8x scope.

If they're ahead of you by a few hundred meters the compass bearings are going to be different for them compared to yours.

In that situation its better to call out particular buildings or landmarks.

Alex is the last of them I want to follow as a viewer.

Thank you for confirming this to me. My squad is strict on numbers, and loose on just about everything else. I always try to give my team a unique landmark when I can.

They're getting way better. Some really good fights pulled together today. Shot for shot, the team is more than competent in a firefight. Seems like when evenly matched, they're usually coming out on top (aside from occasional silly mistakes).

I didn't know that Alex has blue eyes.

@rossome9: I think they're more green than blue. Sort of both. I don't know. I try not to stare at my own eyes, if I can avoid it.

This was a great episode. You guys had a great mentality from the beginning, and you pulled off some great runs. On top of that, there were just some funny/weird/intense moments that this game provides like when you guys just listened to that battle from under the bridge.

Can you do private servers in Battlegrounds? I would love to watch a GB staff, or GB + "friends of site" only free-for-all. The problem would be presentation since watching from just one player's perspective wouldn't be ideal. They'd need a spectator that can go between all players and I'm presuming that doesn't exist.

Rule of thumb is that, regardless of gun preference, guns that use 7.62 ammo like the SKS and AKM and the revolver are more powerful than pretty much all other guns (except for the Magnum Sniper Rifle... which you won't ever see unless you're lucky at a crate drop).

Ammo type damage ranking from highest to lowest :

1. .300 Magnum (used only with the AWM Sniper Rifle - very rare)

2. 7.62mm (AKM, SKS, bolt-action sniper rifles and the revolver pistol)
3. 5.56mm (M416, SCAR-L, M16, M249 Machine Gun)
4. .45 ACP (Vector, 1911 Pistol, Tommy Gun)
5. 9mm (P92 Pistol, Uzi, UMP9 sub-machine gun)
