@rohay:Man.. I spent way too much of my life daydreaming about Air Gear in real life. It engendered a way deep nostalgia within me for something that never actually existed LOL. I don't know about a game though. Maybe in a VR application, but it just doesn't seem like you could really translate that feeling of movement into a controller or keyboard. Sunset overdrive might be close-ish. but...

Isn't Jeff's point about skating on grass completely contradicted by being unable to skate on water? The game has a surface that if you touch it you instantly fail and reset. So the answer to Jeff's question of "Would it be fun, as a video game, if you couldn't [skate on the grass]?" is "how would it be different from being unable to skate on water?"
