Quick Look: Fate/Unlimited Codes Portable

We still have this quick look, the Red Faction DLC quick look and the Persona quick look to wait for. You know what that means... 3 QLS ON A WEEKEND!!

I've played and loved the VN and I was really surprised when they said there would be a QL on this on I love Mondays.I'm really curious to see if they know the history of the game and what they think of it. I don't have a PSP so I won't be able to get it, even if it seems good.

Never heard about the visual novel. I wonder if the game is any good.

I wonder how close they are to each other when looking at a PSP game.

I've seen the anime and liked it so I think I'll pick this up.

they have to play the stuff i would never have touched.

This is based on the anime Fate/Stay Night that was based on a Hentai Manga if im remembering correctly. Also I'm pretty sure that FSN was shown or atleast released on DVD in the US since it got licenced to be sold/shown in the states.
 
Shiro has a special ability that makes him able to create any weapon he likes and thats why they just apear.
Also Shiro and Archer are the same dude. Shito is the master of Saber and they fight in some kind of weird tournament whaere they can win The Holy Grale, I dont really remember. But Saber is a servent that along whit the other servents are legendery heros from the past. 
 
Archer is also a servent and considerd weak by everyone else involved in the 5th Holy Grale Wars(yeah thats what its called) but he isn't based on any legendary hero from the past but is the future adult Shiro. He was summoned by Rin for the 5th Holy Grail War. He wants to kill his young self  to spare Shiro the anguish of realizing his ideals are a sham and free himself from the eternal servitude .
 
Or something like that. The anime was pretty good so I suggest you who are interrested in that sort of stuff go check it out.

MK Deception never showed timing on move practice, which sucked.

Oh man, I love how the bash Fate Stay Night.... hahahaha. Though as an anime\eroge the story is pretty damn good, and even if it's "generic looking" it's actually REALLY popular. ;)

The visual novel is one of the best ever created in japan.Not to mention huge popularity and success.
Anime version is very good also. The story is good to say at least. 
The upcoming movie in 2010 just may be the best adaptation of the novel.Which has 3 different long story's.
But I suppose this is the main difference,that most of the gamers always will find anime BAD and not interesting.

I loved Fate/Stay Night, game doesn't look that great though.

people who only watched the anime are gonna be confused by whats happening in the game since its based off the visual novel more.
 
The game is fun if you have a decent knowledge on how to combo and sidestepping projectiles. 
 
I didnt like how they simpilified the controls for the PSP version.  I miss doing quarter circle notations. Instead I have to do half ass   down, right, down, right
 
I prefer Melty Blood though :P

Usually in anime the girls eyes aren't the only thing that are over sized.

this game looks...absolutely terrible!!!

The fighting doesn't look all that great but I was really into the anime, and since it seems to have a lot of the 
all important fan-service (UBW, yeah!) I think I could pick this up and enjoy it. 
 
Speaking of Quick looks with crazy anime fighters. I just got an idea for another QL throwback, Evil Zone. Make it happen guys!

Guys, if you're going to talk about voice acting and background music, you're really gonna have to turn the game's audio feed way up on these quick looks. If I turn the volume up enough to hear whatever you're making witty comments on, your voices are painfully loud.

That game actually looks pretty good,I might have to download it when it comes out.

I will never understand why people like fate/stay night so much. Shirou is such a terrible character. The game doesn't look too good either.

i can't speak for the anime. but as a fighting game, it's one of the most advanced ones currently out. So there's no way the game was gonna look good with a couple of scrubs mashing out moves and hoping something interesting happened.

i'm really not into anime at all, i guess that may be why this doesn't look too great for me.

I remember this anime, it felt like a waste of time, I'd say the same of the game.

I'm a big fan of Fate/Stay Night, but this game looks kind of like a "because no one asked for it" situation. A fighting game isn't really the best use of the concept.
