A 400 MS point game. It's sad to see that is a novelty nowadays.

Good that the proceeds go to Japan relief efforts, too bad after some of the other games seen/played that were made by Cave I probably wouldn't enjoy playing this one for very long.

Something Jeff didn't show off is that you can actually use the right bumper to attack instead of just running into enemies like a crazy man.

I like the puppet aesthetic, especially having seen puppet shows like this as a child.  I like the audio and I especially like that they are donating proceeds to charity.

Played the demo and had fun, plus I like the look of it. And for only $5 that's also going to charity, seems alright!

Wasn't interested until about 4 minutes in.

Excellent. I remember seeing the trailer for this and was super-fascinated by the art style. There's something really interesting about games that try to look like things other than reality (or games). Okami looks like a traditional painting, this looks like one of them paper puppet theater things that I'm sure has a pretty Japanese name I can't think of... There's the cel-shaded stuff that tries to look like comics and cartoons, and there's even Kane & Lynch 2, trying to look like it's captured on tape on a cheap home camera.

I wonder what other exciting things one could make a game look like! I'm sure there's tons and tons of ways of representing the world and telling stories out there that we haven't explored. How about... a game with.. a mime aesthetic? No, wait, that's terrible...

I'd rather just give the $5 and tell them to keep this.

Red Cross has an agenda I personally disagree with. I already donated to DWB, but a chance to help b y buying a game is not to be passed up.

looks like the grappling attaches to a wall or anchor. If you pass an enemy while doing that you hurt them. Seems too simple at least to me.

Visually looks pretty chaotic, almost to the point of just plain messy. Guess that makes sense given their bullet hell past.

This has like, 8 frames of animation per second and just looks sluggish :/

looks like one of those crazy one-man shadow puppet shows, which is an O.K. look I guess.  The sounds are straight out of those types of shows too.  I know it's a chinese thing but  don't think it has any roots in japan.

wouldnt play it for more than 5 minutes if it was free.

Only played the trial, but the controls were goddamn awful.

You may also know Cave as the developer of Princess Debut, which is also not a bullet hell shooter.

Looks great, sounds annoying (Japanese) but I don't want to play it.
