Gamescom 2009 was a video game convention that took place in Cologne, Germany from August 19 - August 23, 2009.
A common location in games, specifically RPGs. Usually inhabited by ghosts and other creatures from the beyond.

A term that can be used to refer to RPGs that focus more on the action, or brawler action games which focus on hack & slash gameplay.
A Half Elf is the offspring of a human and an elf. In many cases, they are discriminated against by both humans and elves, which guides them to a nomadic life as bards, druids, or rangers.
These are endings that aren't just good, but they give you everything you could want. The world is saved, the hero gets the girl, friendships are made that will last forever, everyone is safe, the villain is gone for good, and all loose ends are wrapped up forever.... unless a sequel is made.
A heads-up display is a graphical overlay of vital information used in most modern games.
A character type found in RPGs, MMOs, and class based Multiplayer games that focuses on keeping friendly characters alive. Their general role is to heal/buff and resurrect fallen allies.
More effective than any hospital. These games let you heal damage; ranging from a black eye to a gunshot wound, just by having a snack.
Health is a value that gauges how much damage players can take in a game before they die or pass out. Also known as life in some games. Health is usually represented by a bar or a percentage instead of an exact amount. Found in most non sport games

When a character or group of characters does something extremely brave on behalf of another character or group of characters, knowing that they will get killed or seriously injured in the process.
The place of origin for ninjas. Their location is mostly known throughout the ninja world and very nearby localities with some sort of ties in between them (commercial or cultural in nature).
A console game is high definition if it operates at a resolution of at least 720p, or 1280x720. A console able to achieve this resolution is HD-capable. For a variety of reasons, the term does not apply to PC games.
An numeral indication of how much damage a character can sustain. The loss of all hit points results in the death of the character or another penalty.

Characters whose appearance does not change once equipping items.
An imaginary boundary in the game world that limits player movement to a specific area. They are often criticized as a poor component of level design, when an actual wall or other visible boundary could have been used to delineate a game's playing field.
