All That Remains: Was It Worth The Wait? 0

The difficult second album. Trying to follow up from something so loved is one of the hardest things to pull off in any medium. The stigma of whether you can continually reach the same level or whether it was just a fluke can be a very scary task. Expectations for Season 2 of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead couldn't be higher after the studio wowed us and picked up numerous awards for its first season in 2012. With a whole year of waiting beforehand, I couldn't wait to dive back into the world ...

A decent addition to the franchise. 0

I liked it.Not as good as season one, but it had some great moments and Telltale is getting better at the game part.No bugs was nice.Maybe it's been too long since I played 400 days, but it didn't seem like the characters from that played much of a part in this game, certainly less than I was expecting. I honestly didn't care much about most of the characters in this season, I think that is it's main flaw, when people start dying, it didn't have the same impact as similar situations had in the f...

A House Divided - Things Aren’t Gonna Get Any Easier 0

A House Divided is one of the more interesting episodes of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead, across both seasons, so far. Clementine has been through a lot (to say the least) since she was first introduced to us. Growing up in this world has made her far tougher and grown up than she should be at her age and she has pretty much nothing left to fight for except herself and yet still finds a way to carry on. But perhaps most devastatingly the worst is probably yet to come, and that could be ...

    Season 2 Episode 3: In Harm’s Way - Will You Be A Witness? 0

The one consistent element that Telltale have unequivocally nailed recently is pacing. Their episodes have started slow, reminding you of prior events and establishing both characters and situations. While still delivering on action and plot development, the episodes seem to gather pace as time goes on until ultimately the finale leaves you with one final punch to the gut. In Harm’s Way may be the best example of this to date with it’s closing moments staying with me until way after ...

The Walking Dead Season 2 Finale: The End of the Line 0

No Going Back is an apt title for the Season 2 finale of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. With the last episode being the worst in the entire series, there was a lot riding on this finale for me. Season 3 had already been announced and I was beginning to question whether I was still on board after loving the first season but having growing frustrations over the last few episodes. No Going Back is certainly the best episode of the season, and has some of the best moments we’ve ever been f...

Let’s torture an adolescent girl! (Episode 1: All That Remains) 2

Warning: Probably some spoilersI’ll admit to be very skeptical in regards to the second season of Tell Tale’s The Walking Dead games because I’m very much of a mind that lightning can’t strike twice. That first series was so unexpectedly amazing that I the bar is now so high that I can only assume that there will be all sorts of attempts at emotional manipulation to get people sucked into these new episodes. So far, I think I’m right. All That Remains comes across like Wally Lamb style misery por...

The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 4: Amid the Ruins: A Rare Misstep or Meeting the Inevitable? 0

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead series has been one of the most consistent in all of video games over the past two years. The first season won countless awards, 400 Days was a nice way to continue the story before the second season started and so far I have thoroughly enjoyed the season. However I have expressed some concerns for what I saw as potential problems with the series in the past. Unfortunately many of those problems showed themselves in Amid the Ruins resulting in by far the wo...
