Not long after Sony revealed its PlayStation Plus offerings for September, Microsoft's done the same for Games With Gold. The list is a bit smaller, but all three games are pretty great.
Here Are Your Games With Gold Options for September
@benmo316: I would say the opposite, the more people playing halo the better for MS and more likely that people will want an upres versions.
I'm sure Crimson Dragon is free for another month as well.
That is correct. I think I read somewhere that they would give you 2 new games for Xbox One every other month so if you start a month with 2 new games, like we did in June or August, then one of the games will get carried over into the next month and then 2 new games will come in the following month.
Already have Reach, but this is a pretty solid lineup for the month, anxious to play Monaco and Super Time Force.
I wish Reach and ODST were the ones getting the upres
Hey, they gotta save something for one of the off-years after 5 comes out. I'm really hoping they do ODST and Reach, I'd like to have every game in the series on a single console for once.

You could play every game in the series on 360, it's backwards compatible.
@surgicallube: I should've phrased that better. I meant that in a positive, meaning if people were thinking about getting an Xbox One they should think again because new Halo is coming soon.
Man, why not file it under Games with Gold? Someone totally spent like 30 minutes working on that page.
Hadn't bought a Halo game since Halo 3, i'll grab reach, maybe...
Halo: Reach is the only Halo game in which I genuinely cared about the story. It was fantastically done and has a brilliant ending.

Reach is awesome, probably my Favorite Halo game.
I got Halo Reach for free already for being a part of a beta program for Microsoft back in 2010 or 2011. That was pretty rad. Also, I already have Monaco on PC, but I'm glad my friend will be able to check it out and get good at it so we can play it together.
Super Time Force is really rad too. These are great games this month.
So on my XB1, I get a game they already sold me a couple months ago and on the 360, I get a four year old Halo game that I bought four years ago and then Monaco -- a decent game that is hard to keep track of on the screen with multiple players and that is impossible to play with randoms, because everyone just races through the map and triggers everything off.
Meh.

Seems like a 'you' problem, no?

What a remarkable contribution!
If anything, an excuse to play more Reach.
Did Halo 4 not take off, for multiplayer? (Or do you mean just for the single player...?)

Well to be honest, your initial post was just basically "i dont like these choices for these reasons". Which in itself doesn't need to be said to begin with, yes? Which is what I was stating in that seems like just your problem as other people are probably cool with those choices. So then you replying that my reply to you isn't a contribution to be made infers that you agree you didn't need to post your original one as no opinions are valid and shouldn't be said?
Super happy about reach. It's my favorite halo game, but I never got around to buying it. And I have Monaco on steam already, but it's a solid game that I'm happy to own again and see more people get into. Good month!
Dishonored and Reach are faves of mine so it's great to get the digital copy for free. Death to Discs.
Awesome I've been really close to buying Super Time Force since it came out but it was always $5 too much and having it free is unexpected and really cool. Can't complain about free games!
That settles it... it's officially time for me to stop splurging for most of the download-only games that come out on the Xbox One. Super Time Force is another one that I bought at release and could have had for free had i exercised a wee bit of patience. Oh well... live and learn (hopefully).

Actually, I would suggest that they are probably common among many players who would receive these titles.

I sure hope you're not valuing your original post as a "remarkable contribution" either.
No, you're right. Forums are no place for opinions. We should all go home. Also, my post was sharing an opinion on the offerings of the games as a subscriber to the services. Pretty relevant, if you ask me. That's kind of the entire point of all posts (just because it was negative doesn't make it less of a relevant opinion to the topic). The reply was basically "cool story bro", which is... well... kind of pointless. Every opinion could essentially be relegated to a "well, that's your opinion so it's your problem".
And then I replied to his inane reply with an equally inane and useless reply, because I am a hypocritical asshole that couldn't just ignore it and move on. :)
@koolaid -- I had completely forgotten Fire Fight was a thing! I wonder if that will return in the next Halo... I'm normally not a big Halo fan (I play through some of them, but largely just don't care), but I would totally get in on some more Fire Fight type modes.
Actually, I would suggest that they are probably common among many players who would receive these titles.
I tried at least.
It was very far from "cool story bro" actually. I was trying to open a dialogue with you but you just went with the "remarkable contribution" thing.

Pretty sure that at this point Microsoft is just checking my download history and making everything I've already paid for, free.
That's why I hold off buying XBLA games now. I'd love to download Outlast on the Xbox One but I just know that will be going free at some point in the future (it's already been free on PSN) and then I'd end up hating myself for having paid for it.

Yup. I bought Fez when it first got put up on PS4 because there was a PS+ discount, I still haven't got around to playing it and then it was one of the free games for August.
If anything, PS+ is making me look at games like Surgeon Simulator and go "yeah... that will probably be free in a couple months."
