Animal Crossing 3DS

Overview

Little is yet known about the new Animal Crossing title, but a trailer was shown at E3 2011 showing a number of new features and changes from the previous games. Most noticeably is the change in proportions on the animals and player characters, now appearing much taller. This is likely a decision in service of showing off the new clothing features they have available in the game, such as being able to wear different pants and shoes in addition to the shirts and hats from the previous games.

Other features shown included the ability to mount furniture such as a clock on the walls of your home, the ability to swim in your town's ocean, visit with multiple animals in a single house, and animals that follow or chase you around the town.

During its Financlai Briefing in April 2012, Satoru Iwata hinted at Animal Crossing post-launch DLC to lengthen the game's lifespan.
