Arena

Overview

In each Armored Core games, the Arena is a game mode that lets the players to fight against other Ravens in a one-on-one ACs battle to see who wins the match. The goal for this mode is to defeat all ranked Ravens from starting point until reaching the number one spot of the Arena. While progressing thought the Arena, the players will earned some credits by defeating each opponents, the higher the Ravens ranks are, the more credits the players will earned.

The Arena mode started when first game of Armored Core features a "Ranking" system that every time the players progress thought the story, they earn points. By the time when Armored Core: Project Phantasma was released, the game was first in the series to have the Arena game mode.

The first Armored Core game does not count as a Arena and/or Arena mode, but it did have the ranking system based on points on how much missions you completed.

Armored Core: Project Phantasma

The first Arena mode for the series, Project Phantasma are made up of 50 Ravens (except for the Raven). Most of the 49 Ravens are not encounter in the game, meaning that these Ravens are only fought in the Arena.

Armored Core: Master of Arena

Master of Arena has about 50 Ravens (including the Raven), it split up into two sections; the Arena and the Sub-Arena.

Extra Arena

The Extra Arena is a bonus Arena that contain four different type of Arenas, each with different type of legs setting. In order to complete these Arena is that you need to equipped with the same leg type that the Arena acquires. Once complete all four arenas, you unlock four more Arenas that let you fight more ACs like From Software employee ACs, the Japanese magazine publishers' AC, and etc. Also, there's a custom Arena that lets the player to faces their own AC designs that they created.

Humanoid Leg Arena

Two-legged AC only.

Reverse Joint Arena

Reverse-joint legged AC only.

Quad Legs Arena

Four-legged AC only.

Tank Leg Arena

Tank-legged AC only.

Fromsoft Arena

From Software Employee ACs, any legs.

Guest Arena

Japanese magazine publishers' AC, any legs.

Champion Arena

Japanese ACPP tournament ACs, any legs.

Master Arena

Difficult AC Arena, any legs.

Armored Core 2

Armored Core 2 Arena is very similar to Project Phantama but has more combatants in it. The Arena has 49 Ravens with an additional of 6 more when completing the main story.

These 8 Ravens will be added on the list once you beat the main story.

Armored Core 3

The Arena for Armored Core 3 is very different with other AC games, instead of having ranks up to 1-50 like Master of Arena, but tiers in ranks of E, D, C, B, and A. Some of the Ravens are in Story mode, but if they get killed in any missions, they get replace by newer opponents in the E-Rank. Armored Core 3 has about 72 Ravens (73 in the portable version), 50 Ravens when stated an new game, and added 23 more once completed the game.

All these Ravens are unlock once you beating the game.

Silent Line: Armored Core

Slient Line is same as Armored Core 2, but has fewer Ravens in the Arena. About 30 Ravens to start with and 12 (14 on the PSP) more added once you progress through the game.

Armored Core: Nexus

Nexus Arena is tied up with the story and each arena match helps progress the story. Instead having to beat every Ravens to become #1, the ranking system changed and having a Point system that gains each time you complete a missions or winning an arena match.

These Ravens are added once any Raven is killed in the storyline.

Armored Core: Formula Front

The Arena for Armored Core: Formula Front is the same but it's called the "League" instead of "Arena". The League is consists of multiple leagues, each from B-League (starting point) and the R-League (final). After beating both league, you unlock the Exhibition match

B-League (Formula Bottom-03)

The starting point for Formula Front, only five teams to beat in this league. After defeating all five teams, you receive an class-A license to complete in the R-League

R-League (Formula Regular)

Exhibition

After beating the R-League, the Exhibition matches are available for the player, but only available in Formula Front International. The Exhibition consists of various teams from different leagues.

Armored Core: Last Raven

Last Raven Arena is renamed as the "VR Arena" and does not connect with the storyline like Master of Arena or Nexus did. After beating the VR Arena, the EX Arena opens and allowing the players to face other Ravens that they defeated in the story.

VR Arena

The VR is available at the start of the game, it composed of 30 AI-controlled ACs. Some parts are rewarded when defeating an specific AI ACs.

EX Arena

EX Arena is unlock when the game is completed, the EX has about 21 Ravens (26 Ravens in the Portable Version). This Arena allows you to battle the Ravens that the played killed in the missions, after defeating them, the players unlock their emblems.

Armored Core 4

Armored Core: For Answer

Same as rest of Arena but called as "Order Matches", with two arena to choose, it depends on what action the players do in the story.
