Burnout Paradise Trophy Update Now Available

It is so not worth doing everything over again.

You don't have to do it all again just copy your current save game to a memstick then start a new game, you only need do what is required for trophies, as these get saved to your PSN account once you have all the trophies just load up your save game that you copied to the memstick  you will have everything that you had done before and lost nothing  plus have the trophies, it's what i did.

We have all just been given the best excuse to replay one of the best games on the PS3.
Besides, trophies are for bragging rights only, as far as I am concerned. What better bragging line than "Hell yeah I played the whole thing from start -AGAIN! - I'm HARDCORE, FOOL!!!"

Not a big deal.  Obviously, I expect any game starting development now to have trophies.  Consider any trophy attention given to games in development or those already released a nice little gift.  Though I'm guessing most of the people spewing bile are those that limit themselves to one console manufacturer for whatever reason.

This is just like with "Uncharted".  That is, I didn't actually play Uncharted until there was thophy support. Now I haven't played this game yet either so it feels good to know that if I do end up getting it, I'll get throphies to :)

At first I was angry (mostly because Criterion continued to insist trophies would be retroactive), and I'm still disappointed, but the trophies really aren't hard. You can get a bronze just for competing (not completing) an online Stunt Run or Marked Man. Quick and easy. The only real bad part is needing to do the licenses over again if you want the trophies for them. Those are the only time consuming ones and the rest can be done fairly quick.

Hmmm do I fancy sinking another 47h into completing this game? NO.   To have put that much time into a game expecting all those lovely trophies, and then be told I can't have the trophies after all plus I have to do it all again...well it's like a hard kick to the nutts.

This is a major disapointment. Burnout Paradise is one of my favorite games and I was plannning on getting most of the trophies.

But Burnout Paradise is not like Uncharted where you could  just start the game over because the game was so short. I have gotten so far in BP that the thought of having to start over is mind boggaling. Especially when you have to erase everything you have already done, it would have all been a waste!

But ill give it to Criterion for trying, but man this bites.

I guess lucky for me that I just picked the game up about a month ago and haven't gotten to far into it. While it does suck that they aren't retroactive, it isn't gonna be a huge issue after this christmas season I have a feeling since everyone will be playing the newer stuff more at any rate.

what if i jsut keep playing and get the trophies i can get with that save. then when im done play for the easy ones you can get.

Figured it wouldn't work out. Oh well, it's a good excuse to start over when I'm bored of everything else.

I honestly don't care for trophies, but it's kinda funny when I just start unlocking a bunch of them for seemingly no reason. Like, just now, I was playing WipeoutHD and I got two in a row for doing a Barrel Roll and getting my first Gold in a race.

Ya know what I like about trophies? How whenever a game gets patched, I haven't played it yet.

Oh and there are probably some Bike Trophies you could get easily if you want.

Not worth a replay... At least not yet.

Ah, that would be pretty annoying if I had the PS3 version and wanted trophies. But hey, at least the game is good enough to justify it.

I don't really care much for trophies. i mean, i don't know what the point of it is other than just bragging rights to all of your friends and other players. Its not like if you have certain amount of trophies you can download something off of the PSN for free that usually cost money, if this was one of the perks for getting a lot of trophies, then i'll be more interested in it. but as of now....eehhh....

Doesn't matter, I had to start over when I changed IDs a few weeks back. I'll start over again today when I download the PSN version of the game.

No, i know, Trophies are the "future" they will eventually be in most games, but it doesnt hide the fact that this sort of thing should of been there from the start, not nearly 2 years in

well then its a good thing that I don't mind going thorugh all that carp again cuase the game is damn freaking good. But the only thing I do mind going through again is the multiplayer stuff. I mean who the fuck is gonna do all that shit again(as a team)?

With all that Criterion was able to do with the whole no loading, jumping straight into online, and all the mad crazy tech they make; they can't figure out how to link the burnout awards to trophies?  This whole retroactive trophy buisness is a total joke.

It's only "fail" for the older games. But guess what? Let me tell you a little secret that may shock you....

And I've been doing tons of work getting all the cars and events in the hope that when the update comes out, I would have already gotten trophies for those things.

Even though I just sank about 20 hours into this about 3 weeks ago, I'm actually not mad to play it again, just like I wasn't for Uncharted. I can always find time for awesome games...

I have the 360 version anyway, but fuck that.

well criterion along with their false promise have dorve my away from this game. I should like already have the platium lol there's no way im playing this entire game again uncharted wasnt bad coz that was short this is just a joke though booooo :(

That's kinda lame.  It didn't seem like a "maybe" thing when they first talked about trophies being unlocked retroactively.

Personally I don't care about collecting trophies and I've been waiting for the PSN release anyway but.. I feel for people who got screwed by Criterion's lies.

I downloaded it, and I am sure as hell not starting this game again.
Ironically I started playing it again when they said it was going to be retro-active so I'd get lots of trophies. Eventually I got about 97%. So after playing alot of that great game I'm told I would have been better off not playing it. Not happy.

I shall play this game once I download Wipeout.

Hard is not really the issue as much as it is a time eater. But i have it so i guess i might as well do it.

It is not hard winning the events in BP. I deleted my save after months of completion for the trophies.

With trophies so easy to get in BP, it will be nice when HOME launches and my room has tons of trophies.

My son will be upset when he gets home from Kindergarten and sees I deleted the save with all the cars, but I will get them back quickly. The trophies are so easy, he might even accidentally unlock some when he is just driving around. heh

One day I might want to play games on my Bluray player !

Yeah i gotta say...i was excited for Playstation Trophies when they were announced, but after disappoinment after disappointment, and after this last straw, Trophies do = Fail

Its a real shame cus theres no way im starting Paradise again after sinking as many hours unlocking everything as i have (still havent unlocked everything) but kudos to Criterion for trying!

Trophies=Epic Fail from Sony. But I guess better late than never.

Glad I did not put too much time in after I lost my first save.
