Mass Effect 2 Weapons DLC Out Today

Two bones will get you three weapons.

I've got no up-front complaints about the latest Mass Effect 2 DLC because...guns. This afternoon, the Firepower Pack dropped on XBLM and PC, ushering in three new weapons to the masterful sci-fi RPG for the price of 2 bones (or 160 Microsoft Banana Bucks).

No Caption Provided

I can't complain because weapon DLC doesn't carry with it the promise of meaningful narrative ties, fresh dialogue, or compelling design like other bigger packs such as Overlord have in the past. In fact, the only thing it promises is padding your armor locker with some serious firepower. And I'd say The Phalanx hand cannon, Mattock semi-automatic rifle, and Geth Plasma Shotgun--a triple-barreled beast--might do just that.

Need to see before you dive in? Good thing you're reading this. Below are some sick images of the guns in action. I think I'm in love with at least two of these.

Yes! i made the clever unintentional decision to stop playing halfway through when it came out, come back now and get all this DLC. I'm loving ME2 more than i ever have.

Kinda think this should of been free DLC. It's not going to change the dynamic of gameplay as they aren't 'super' guns, just different types. Even if it's 160 points, I'd prefer to spend 560 on that plus a whole load more like the Overlord DLC.

biowware has sort of lost me with al this dlc, sorta springs to mind that this is not the way to do dlc. i loooved the game and cannot wait until the 3rd one. but it sorta feels like no one is really waiting for this stuff. for me every rpg should just blatantly ripp off fallout as far as i'm concerned

God damn it! Once again, the price of ME2 DLC is exactly how much MSP I have left.

Jesus Christ look at that thing.

I might be into it if I already hadn't cleared the game thrice. Maybe I'll pick it up when the Liara thing drops.

2 bucks for three guns? Not too costly, might get it at some point.

That shotgun looks boss, might be time to get back and finish up my third playthrough and the Overlord DLC I missed.

I would enjoy this if it were included with the Shadow Broker DLC or something of the like.  I guess I just don't see the value in weapon/armor DLC when there is nothing left to use them in.  Maybe I'll look at this once the Shadow Broker DLC is released.

As someone who just purchased this (God I love me some Mass Effect weaponry)...all I can say is HOLY SHIT to the new pistol.  Thing is beastly.  New assault rifle is pretty BA as well.

Once the Liara pack comes out I'll probably pick up all the packs I have missed lately and finish up the other 300 points of achievements I need. Definitely interested in some new weapons. I liked the ones that were already in the game, but there were too few in my opinion.

Been happy with the guns already in ME2, if I was playing it more I'd put the MS points to kasumi or other packs that have more to them than just sci-fi boomsticks.

Zero interest in this. Why don't they just hold the DLC for a month or two a piece, then sell it all as one big pack for more money? Even if the overall cost remained the same, I know that I would instinctively feel better about buying a couple big and bloated DLCs than a bunch of tiny and insignificant ones.

Those weapons look cool and I loved Mass Effect 2, but I don't think I'm willing to put down any money for DLC that's not story related, even if it is only 2 dollars.

The hand-cannon looks slick! Semi-automatic rifle too.
Not a fan of the shotgun, personally. Will probably buy this because I bought all the other DLC without diggin in yet. This would make my insane playthrough of everything more bearable.

People still play this game?\

I feel like this would have sold hella lot more if they released it 5 months ago.  Are people really going to buy this just because?  Or they just need another excuse to play this game again?

Is this pack have all unique guns? One of the older packs had a preorder/digital deluxe/new purchase bonus in it, and it made people who forked out more/earlier than others have a devalued dlc.

Edit: Oh duh, I just read the list there, looks like it's all new stuff.
