Persona 4 Will Not Be Enhanced

That's good. FES was a refinement of the mechanics of Persona 3, and since Persona 4 isn't any radical change from those same systems, there's no real reason to release a FES version of that, unless there's some kind of second campaign that answers the open questions.

Also, DO IT JEFF. RETURN TO THE FOLD. Start with P3 FES, it's the best example of the subgenre in recent years.

Yes, Jeff, you should. But, like the others have said, start with Persona 3: FES. Nothing more fun than watching a character summon a Persona by blowin his/her brains out. lol

I have the game and the Social Link expansion pre-ordered. Good to know I won't be missing out on anything. :)

Persona 3 = Best RPG of last year.

I'm pretty much awaiting the same thing this year. Granted, this time it has like... actual competition, what with Fallout 3 and all... 

This is good. I still plan on buying Persona 3 FES somewhere down the road, but not right now. I'm glad they won't do the same to this one.

And Jeff, if you feel like geting into JRPGs again you can't go wrong with  Persona 3. There are ocasional weird things like "hey, you got a 10 in the test! Now all the girls like you", you know, just like in real life. But it's a really good well made game.

Persona 3 is well worth playing, Jeff. Just keep in mind it's kind of clunky and some of the music (mostly the school music) will drive you insane.

Also, hope you like random dungeons. Really like.

EU release in 2010? =P Considering Persona 3 FES was released about a month ago.

I want to play Persona 3, but I'm still playing DDS1 (have DDS2 unopened) and there are so many games coming out on the current generation of consoles that I never have time  to go back to last gen to play those games.

Maybe they'll just do a direct sequel instead (like with Persona 2) but I have a hard time believing they'll leave it alone completely.

While I don't like Persona, I can say it beats the hell out of Giant Bomb being all shooters all the time.

After seeing the Persona 4 trailer , i really can't see how this game will differ from Persona 3, it looked pretty much the same to me as far as gameplay is concerned, I'm having some doubts that P4 might turn out to be P3 with just a cover change.

After reading the caption, I kept accidentally reading "Persona" as "Pentium" for the rest of the article.  Damn you, Jeff!

I bought Persona 3: FES awhile back. Haven't beaten it yet but I'm planning to. I really like that game and I expect a better experience from this one.

Persona 3 is currently in my stack of "not even opened" games, which thankfully at the moment only consists of it and Dead Space. I have all intents on playing it someday, but RPG's take a lot of time and I've got 3 others laying around that I'll need to finish as well. Someday...
